    Just catching up on everyone
JenI congratulation on the wedding did it all go according to plan and any chance of seeing the pics at some point.
Els congratulation on the pregnancy glad everything is going well. I am 36 and have no children but not really decided if I want them or not. It must be quite nice for it to just happen not sure what I would do if it did.
Kattie glad you are up for the gym challenge I am going this morning to Pilates so that will be my twice this week. However I am not playing golf at the weekend so ought to go more. Lets see how I go.

Been ok so far can't quite give up the wino got stuck for 1 hour in trafic yesterday so needed a glass with dinner but only had 2 small ones. I have not eating any really crappy food so hopefully I can keep it up. Working from home today but have taken homemade leek and potato soup out of the freezer and we are having steaks for dinner. Hope you are all doing well need to get on with the washing only 9 days to our holiday now.

  • I've put on 2 lbs this week :( oh well.. I probably deserve it (although I am 'on' so that might not be helping!) and the doctor told me to sort it out and stop being such a lard-!!! yesterday too, so a renewed effort is required. I pledge to actually take some exercise this week!! :)

Well done to everybody that lost - I will at my next weigh-in :D

  • haha - your swear filter doesn't like the word a.s.s. I had no idea it was considered so offensive!! :D

I'll not try to use that one again then.

  • devils nose- i had some problems reading a recipe until i realised that the swear filter was editing it out. So when you see co!!!! in a recipe it means chop it into quite big bits that aren't too big or too small and also happen to be rather vulgar.

and honey i didn't believe the hype about the sweet potato and red pepper soup until this week - and i'm totally converted. i usually make sweet potato soup with cream or milk but it so doesn't need it! I've already added the ingredients to the shopping list for this week too. Incidientally, huge thanks to everyone who puts recipes on there, it's been such a boon to me and I've had some lovely meals that I wouldn't have come up with on my ow. It's even more helpful that it's indexed too!

tallgirl, i'm planning to go to the gym tonight and often cry off for lame reasons. I guess now i can't.

And to finish, a link to the most bizarre news story I have seen in a long time. This is the first time I've posted a link so I might end up reposting to make it work. I can't help but think there's a film in the headline 'Zombie Spent Hens Used For Compost'.

    Hello again.
I have been in london for the past 2 days and am now off work sick with tonsilitis or laryngytis (sp?) - have a docs appointment tomorrow. Good thing is that I don't actually feel that bad but I do sound like Phyllis off Corrie (years ago) but much fainter - just a whisper really.
Everyone thinks its hilarious as I'm usually the noisy one!
The past 2 days have been really bad food wise but I don't feel like I've put anything on - the scales will tell me though - its SW WI night tonight and if I feel up to going I'm sure it will be bad news.

Well doen to all of the losers and I have a feeling that I'm about to join the "gainers" gang for this week! We are not alone!
Take care from a very croaky Rachel!

Hello from my sick bed! Not content with having the cold all weekend on Monday night I started vomitting and have continued to do so up until about 3 hours ago. I ache all over and am as weak as water. Not the best way to lose weight, I wouldnt recommend it. Poor OH has had to struggle about on his crutches looking after us all, (much to his disgust!)

Hope you feel better soon Rachel aka Phyllis!

Honey you poor thing hope your feeling better soon. I guess your OH had more done to his knee then than me? I decided not to use crutches (personal reason) but not very stable and struggled with stairs for a while.

Thankfully Suggs, we live in a bungalow cos he isnt too good on the crutches! He had a some bone and some cartiledge removed.

Meant to say earlier -well done to Mr and Mrs JenIttels!! How did it all go?
  • Hello all,

Boo Hoo!!! Maintained this week and I was so hoping for a pound off. I did go to Cosmo on Friday night and certianly did 'eat all I could'! I thought I was being good by not eating any rice, noodles or duck, but generally tried a bit of everything else on offer. So I cant really complain at staying the same this week. But my clothes are beginning to get loose so the inches are comming off.
Ive not been to the gym the last 2 weeks so I must get back into the swing of exercising too. I really want to do 2 sessions a week it's just getting motivated. Iwill aim to go tommorow morning before work.
I'm going to Centre parks at the end of January and would love to have lost a stone before squeezing into my swimsuit!! Ive seen a swimsuit that has a tummy pannel that sucks everything in - but where will it all go!! I dont expect my boobs will increase it will probably get pushed down to my hips!!! But might be worth a try.
