Hi Lamorna, take a step back and look at what is making you depressed. Is it the weight only or are there other contributing factors? If its other things look at what you can do to make changes - ie. is it your job -is there something else you could do? Is it your house -could you have a spring clean? etc....If its the weight then set yourself small, achievable targets, eg I am going to lose 4lbs by the end of the month and work hard at doing so, come the end of the month when you are 4lb or more lighter you will feel uplifted and have loads of motivation and be ready for the next mini target. Keep doing this and the weight and depression won't be long shifting!
You've done the hard part by admitting that you want and need to lose weight. Now do something about it. Throw away/give away/hide all of the tempting things that tempt you when you get home from work. Keep yourself occupied in the evening so you arent tempted to nibble - phone a friend :rotfl: or come on here! Could you prepare the dinner a night in advance so it just needs heated when you get in. Have some slimming friendly snacks on hand to nibble on - chopped raw veg, fruit etc while you wait for it to cook. I find having a drink of water or low cal juice takes the desire to snack away.
Come on Lamorna, you can do it :j
Now, I just need to practice what I preach0 -
