Day one is going ok so far. Weetabix for breakie, pot of asda good for you noodles (free in green) for lunch followed by raspberries, strawberries, grapes and muller light for afters. So far so good and I am avoiding the tins of sweets and biscuits still in the office. Only 45 mins to go them I'm off home :T

Welcome back to Delly, good to have more in the N Ireland contigency lol!

Tallgirl, the holiday sounds wonderful and I am not at all jealous, yeah right!!

SW tonight, debating whether I want the bad news or not. Next WI will be the usual Monday night so should I just wait until then

well thank god that's over for another year. I've drunk, eaten and been very Merry and I've had enough. Happy new year to you all by the way. I must admit I havn't been on the thread the entire holiday. I've just skimmed through a few of the last 3 pages but will read them properly later. welcome to all new slimmers. Congratulations to jenpoptab with your happy news.

I've been for a weigh in on new years day and I've put on 5lb. I now weigh 1/2 lb more than when i started. However I have scrubbed my old slimming world diaries on the internet and started a fresh. I've ordered the new cookery book which should be here next week and I'm rareing to go. In fact I'd better go and put on my stew I'm having a red day today.

Lois, sorry to say you've missed my £1, I mean my one-pound loss of last week.
I don't know if I'll have time to give my check this week - I'm off for HOLIDAYS!
And I'm going to NICE! And I'm beginning to feel really excited about it! Yay!

I'm off to (stir)fry some carrots and to look up what to do in Nice in winter. :)

Started today - going ok. I've made sure I've written down all I've eaten as it is the only thing that works for me. I'm following the old WW points system, which has worked for me before. A group of us are weighing at work every Wednesday and putting £1 in a kitty. I'm hoping with the support from here and work I can keep my brain in gear and do it in 2007!!
Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!

    US...........And them............
  • Yippee - got weighed today and lost 3.5 kg which I think is about 7lbs! Not as amazing as it sounds though as I'm sure I probably put that much on last Wednesday, the day before I started. You know, the usual 'going on a diet tomorrow so will eat everything in site, the more fattening the better!'. Anyway, it's given me a real boost. I even managed to resist the mince pie which I had allowed myself as a treat as I decided 225 calories weren't worth it when I had done so well and been to the gym, so had two satsumas instead. Better make the most of the willpower whilst it's there as past experience has shown me it comes and goes!

I will continue to weigh in on a Wednesday as that is the day I can usually get to the gym - I get weighed there as no scales at home.

I said in a previous post that I'd like to join the 2lb club (managed that this week!!!) so do I have to mail someone? I'm hoping to lose 1 kg a week, which is around 2lb.

Whilst I am in such a good mood am going to make some low fat soup to freeze - for those times when I'm tempted to cook something a bit naughty!

    Hi all

I've made a few changes to the chart - click here to see it.

Honey - did you buy a slow cooker in the end? If you did, how are you getting on with it, did you cook your chilli in it? Hope the WI wasn't too traumatic.

Madauri - sorry to miss out your weight loss, I've added it in to the chart now. Have a nice time in Nice ;)

Suziewuzie - it really helps to have a group of people to give you moral support. What will you do with the kitty?

Piixxysu - welcome to the thread :) My DH follows SW with me too, and doesn't feel too deprived, apart from not being able to eat lots of cheese! Luckily there's plenty of free food for those hungry moments.

I hope everyone is coping with being back on the straight and narrow again. I must admit my digestive system has been playing havoc over the holiday period, and I'm sure it's down to the change of eating habits - too much rich food. I've been drinking lots of peppermint tea and eating fresh fruit which really makes a difference. I think it will be a few more days before I start feeling the benefit though.

    Catch you later.

  • Oh no - become so addicted to this site over the last week or so that I didn't know what to do with myself when I found it closed for maintenance!! Gave in to that mince pie after all. Guess will just have to go to the gym tomorrow as well as my penance! Going to bed now before those chocs I hid in the cupboard start calling me!

Great to read up on you all again, sounds like we are all suffering a bit after Christmas. I was quite good yesterday only had about 10 nuts which was bad but no wine eventhough we went to the in-laws last night.

They gave us a slow cooker for Christmas it is 3.5 L but holds 2.5L so I hope it is the right size for two. It looks small not sure it would hold a whole chicken. I shall have to look up some of the recepies on here and get on with using it.

Hope to be good today, went shopping yesterday so lots of fruit and veg no chocolate or anything else which is good. Have a huge pack of chocolate biscuits I meant to give someone for Christmas but didn't so hope I can resist opening it.

Not going to the gym today as I still have a horid cold. 2nd one in 4 weeks really cruel.

Take care all and be good.
