    Evening all

How is everybody, how was your weekend?

Suggs - don't be embarassed about gaining - you've got a good excuse. Your weight loss will start going in the right direction again when you can get back into your exercise routine. In the meantime, don't overdo it, or your recovery may take a set back.

Cheerfulness - well done for getting as far as you have, for your determination, and your honesty. Stick with us and we'll do our best to help and support you.

Consultant - thanks for the warning of how many syns are in Christmas buffet food, it really is frightening to think how easy it is to overdo it. I often attend meetings where a buffet lunch is provided, and it's so difficult to try to avoid the high syn foods and to eat enough to stop disturbing the meeting with my rumbling stomach! I had such a meeting on Friday, and I've got another one tomorrow! Back to normal on Tuesday...

MissMoneyPenny - I'm surprised melons aren't freefood on WW no count - they are classed as speed food on SW, as they have diuretic properties, i.e. they help get rid of excess fluid, so you may find you lose weight anyway! :D

Good luck to everyone who is weighing in tomorrow (including me, I think I'm going to need more than luck - some wings might help!). I'll be here tomorrow evening to do the weekly update.

    Have a good week.

  • Good morning everyone.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the welcoming posts.

Consultant I try to up my speed slightly when I'm walking so I get a good exercise but I'm pretty much breathless when I get back even if I slow down. I've not walked much of late because of bad knees so I need to build up that stamina again. Last time I noticed the difference in just a couple of weeks so here's hoping.

Also I don't drink nearly enough fluids. I struggle to drink a full glass or even a whole cup of tea. My doctor commented on this when I was in hospital some time ago. I shall have to find a way of drinking more without gagging but I'm not sure how yet.

Oh and thanks for pointing out the recipe link. That will be really useful.

All the best to those getting weighed in later.

Well done Flis and I have my fingers crossed you get the handbag (well worth a little deprivation I think, lol).

Lois :A imagine this is you on those scales tonight. Good luck!!

Suggs I'm glad to hear your knee's improving and I'm sure you'll feel tons better with a good knee support. Those Neoprene ones are excellent.

Fingers crossed for all those with a Monday weigh-in.

Bye for now - got to dash
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Well done for your weight loss, but even more so for your excellent choice of husband :-)

It's fantastic that you have someone who will support you like that.

Well I still dont understand this weight loss thing, I went to Boots this morning against my better nature, to get the bad news. Hey pesto! the machine says I have lost 6lb! How I do not know, not do I pretned to understand. I was wearing track bottoms instead of my oversized jeans, but that wouldnt account for it! I did go swimming twice but that wouldnt account for it! But I will take it! :T Guess next week it will be up again?

Well done Fils, nice loss and a good target to aim for, not eve going to pretend to know what a Radley handbag is, (I will google it) But if Im a good boy can Santa buy me a present too? :D

Right got to go have a meeting concerning two factor athentication to get to!

    Have a good day all.

well done to all the losers so far :T
I decided to weigh at home today as i can't get to ww tomorrow (grandparents are visiting my dad from southend so we're going to see them for dinner, loads of yummy food  )
Anyway back to the point i've lost 3lb according to my scales :j but they tend to weigh me 1/2 lb lighter than the ww ones so if i can just put 2.5lbs on the chart Lois?
I'm impressed with no count, was so much easier than counting points all the time.
Hope everyone else does well tonight.

    Hi,
Could someone just do me a really quick favour and have a look at how many syns are in a Tesco Vegetarian Falafel? Would usually do it myself but I think the password has changed and I don't have the new one yet. Hope the damage isn't too bad as I have already scoffed some!

    Thanks in advance,
    Rachel.

Rachel -did a quick search for falafel under tesco and it brought up no results. A basic food search of falafel says its 9syns on green and 3 on red for 100g. Hope that helps.

Had a great weekend away, got home this afternoon. Think I have put on 2lbs but we walked around most of London so cant work out how!! Must have been the chocolate truffles from Harrods :D

The highlight of the trip was going on the London Eye, It was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed it. OH wasnt too sure about being up so high!

Off to get kiddies to bed, will be back later

Yes you are right LL, it wasn't listed under "melon" but it was listed under "cantaloupe melon":o

I'm still eating too much, so just a 1lb loss for me this week. I've already given myself the boot for this week.

    Welcome to cheerfulnes.

RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
