My Christmas plan is to be good for as long as possible - have Xmas day off completely and do whatever I fancy.
But it is my birthday on Dec 22nd and it may start to go a bit wrong from then on in!0 -

Anyone know how many syns in the approximate litre of petrol I must have drank last night?
:rotfl:
I really needed a throwing up smiley as that's the effect swallowing petrol would have on me.
It brought back BAAAD memories of the same thing happening to me - only it was [STRIKE]DH[/STRIKE] my husband who put petrol in my diesel car, but me that had to wait for the AA, and me that had to put up with the patronising mechanic at the garage who sneeringly told me that the car would need to be filled up, and the diesel pump was the one with the black nozzle....
That was ages ago, but I still remind him of it whenever I get the chance! :rotfl:
By the way - his advice is to breath out onto a live flame to clear any remaining petrol residue from your mouth - he said make sure you breath out and not in, or you'll be in trouble. Helpful or what....?

Hi,
Still lurking
My Christmas plan is not very diet friendly
Mums on Xmas eve for dinner & then home for bed (we normally spend the whole night at mums but DD wants her presents at home this year)
Then back to Mums on Xmas day for normal dinner and loads of fine wine & nibbley bits for tea
Then boxing day either my aunties or mine for more food & drink.
Then next day we are going to inlaws for 3 days (omg  ), then home for 1 day before Dads for New Years Eve with the other half of the family & another big party with food & drink.
I then spend the next 6 months trying to loose what i've put on
How's everyone else coping / or not!

Hi Diana (shop to drop) and welcome to the thread.
How did you find the Cambridge diet? I tried it once and managed to lose a stone, but also made myself ill. It may have improved since then. Is it still a liquid diet?
There are regulars here who follow a variety of different diets, including Slimming World, WeightWatchers and Rosemary Conley, and some that are doing their own thing - eating healthily and exercising - so I'm sure you'll find plenty of support.
Good luck.

Suggs OH watched rugby all day which forced me and daughter out shopping! Bought lovely new coat though - expensive hobby this rugby!
Said earlier about daughter's op - well happens to be knee surgery. She's dislocated it three times- twice in last 10 weeks - last time whilst doing physio exercises. Consultant says it's so unstable she needs 3 stage op involving breaking/relocating part of shin and altering position of 2 tendons. Going for 2nd opinion next fri cos doc says it wont be perfect even then!
Been looking back over some of your posts with interest!0 -
Just thought I'd get in early to let you know i have woken up hangover-free!!
Feel much better than yesterday. In a good mood because I had a really vivid dream about my ex- boyfriend from a number of years ago (he's started emailing me again recently but I haven't seen him for years). In my dream, we "accidentally" bump into each other and he is astounded by how fabulous I am (it is a dream!!!) - good job, looking gorgeous and, of course, superslim!
Unfortunately the dog woke me up before the end of the dream so don't know what happened (naughties I should imagine - he was fab!) - but what a weird dream to have! We broke up a long time ago after I found out he'd had a fling with a "friend" of mine - we'd lived together for 5 years.
Any Sigmund Freud's out there?
Anyway, it's not raining here and think I should take the opportunity to walk the dog before the monsoon starts again!
Have a good day

Hello again!
Walked 1.5 hours with dog - he's absolutely shattered now! Was spurred on by the Arctic Monkeys, Faithless and Madonna on the iPod - really motivating.
In a very good mood and just popped to Tesco to get the new Jamiroquai CD hopefully will inspire me to clean the house a bit more vigourously! I love Jay Kay - although I think I'm the only one!:p
Have done the bathrooms - hoovering here I come!
(Will probably be in a crumpled heap sobbing on the floor by noon but have high hopes at the moment - need to lose at least a lb this week.
See you later!
Get up someone and talk to me!!!0 -
Morning all, Hi Rach, I'm up!
Sounds like you have had a busy morning so far and here I am still in my PJ's!! I got an ipod for my birthday and I love it. I have noticed that I get from the train station to work much quicker in the mornings, must have a spring in my step!! I just need to keep reminding myself not to sign out loud on the train :rotfl: I have had a few strange looks singing along to The Feeling before I realised why!!
Just made Consultant's recommendation of plain cous cous and muller light yogurt for breakfast. Its actually quite nice and all the more appealing cos its totally free on green and I can make more if I fancy.
As for your dream, he's probaby on your mind because of the emails. Just make sure OH doesnt hear you call him out during the night
Welcome to the thread Diana. Well done on losing 4 stone :T0 -

Hello everyone, I've just skimmed through the last lot of posts in a hurry. We've had guests this weekend, and they've just left, and OH has just gone off out to his archery club, so peace at last! I've had a really poo few days, between eating out and not being terribly good at home - nothing awful but nothing very virtuous either, and certainly no exercise!
I'm just catching up online and digesting breakfast (sausages in a roll) before having a quickie housework blitz. Might squeeze in some TaeBo and a hot bath after that, before OH comes back and we set to the garden. It just needs a poo-collection (damn dogs!) and the leaves raked up, then the border plants all cut back and we can probably abandon it 'til April!
Everyone seems in good form, even you Suggs - pleased to hear things aren't too uncomfortable. I might be back later, unless I fail miserably at getting back on track and find myself too ashamed to post ...0
