Katy - Sounds like you had a great time and that's what its all about. As long as you don't let it be the end of your success then there's no reason why we can't go out and enjoy ourselves every now and then! I'm glad you had a good night and I'm sure you looked stunning!

Glad to hear that you had a good time Katy! Am very jealous- sounded fab!

Hoover update - cleaned filters and emptied cylinder thing into bin and hoover has ressurected!!! Hurrah! :j Must have just been having a rest!
Am knackered now though and the ironing is still to go.

Had yummy M&S choc and mint mousse after a totally free lunch of noodles and satsumas - so nice I could eat 4 in one go (stuck to one though) 4 syns I think and well worth them.
  • oooh, katyk sounds like you had a fab time. and sorry to hear rachel's hoover is back alive. I find trying to hoover up the bathroom after you've ripped all the tiles out will finish off even the most determined of hoovers. Trying to hide from OH as it was his birthday this week and a 'friend' bought him a grown up sized 'mr hoppy' space hopper. He keeps asking where the air bed pump is and i'm just denying all knowledge as i KNOW he'll try it out in the lounge.

And petrol is bleaaagh. On the plus side it doesn't half flush out your system. It may have neutralised the pizza but i'm not holding my breath. I wouldn't recommend it as a crash diet going forward, no matter how slinky the christmas party dress!

rachel, are the m&s mousses their healthy range ones or the normal type? I like the sound of them!

    Evening all

Thanks for the weather forecast Suggs - it was spot on! DH and I decided to go out on the bikes (not the motorbike ;)) and the weather conditions were perfect. Only problem was, DH's tyre went down so we ended up walking the bikes part of the way home.

Sorry to hear others haven't had good weather this weekend.

MissMP - it must be wonderful to see kingfishers regularly - we walk or cycle along a river bank and I'm always looking out for them but haven't spotted any yet. I did see some a few years ago when I went on a narrowboat holiday in Derbyshire. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time, it was so quick and brightly coloured, then I was watching out for them constantly and saw them several times.

Rachel - how do you manage to get up so early on a Sunday? I wake up at the usual time, but then realise I don't have to go to work, and snuggle under the duvet again until I can't put off going to make a cuppa. I'd probably get a lot more done at the weekend if I got up earlier though - I always seem to get to Sunday night and wonder where the weekend went.

Well done for your first week's weight loss Sally - that's a good start!:T

Katyk - the steak and chips sounds yummy and the outfit worked out really well too. :D It sounds like you were sensible but without going overboard - you have to loosen your corsets sometimes, specially if it's only once every five years.

It reminds me of something I was going to check with SW'ers on here - can you have SW chips as a healthy extra, providing you've left the skin on and weighed them? DH and I had gammon steak and chips the other night, and I had this pang of guilt about the chips. :o I did grilled tomatoes and courgettes with them to fill up the plate and we did enjoy it.

I'm going out tomorrow night (Monday) so I won't be able to do the 2 pound weight loss update until Tuesday. We're off to a quiz night at a local pub so wish me luck!

I hope everyone's weigh in is good news tomorrow!

    Hi
Haven't got timr to read everything just now (look at the time ) but my weigh in last Thursday was excellent news. I didn't weight in the previous week as I was ill so this loss is for 2 weeks - 4.5 lbs :j :j
I had a tummy bug and ate sod all for a few days but then I ate for englad the following 5 days so I really thought I'd blown it.

so far this week I have been to the gym once and been running today :D

Good luck to everyone else this coming week

Oh also Lois, would you be able to modify my target on the chart please to 15lbs (it was 7 lbs) ?

I was aiming for 7lbs by Christmas but only have half a pound to go with 5 weeks to go. So could I please change my goal to 15 lbs ? That will take me to the point where I no longer have to pay at Weightwatchers as I will be back within my goal+5 range. I hope to do this by end of January, at at least a pound a week. Determined NOT to put on this Chrustmas

    Thanks,
    Jill

    Morning all,

Sorry I haven't been around much this week, my rabbit chewed through our internet cable, so haven't been able to get online!!

Anyway, weigh in this morning, I have lost another 2lbs. Bringing my total weight loss to 10lbs now, yippeee. Getting closer to my 17 pounds off for Christmas goal.

Good luck to everyone else weighing in this morning.

  • On the subject of christmas.

Having just spent all of 30 seconds considering how i'm going to cope with visiting both set of parents (including my soon-to-be in-laws ) over three days I've decided I can't really be SWing. Instead I'm going to eat whatever meals I'm served but skip any desserts/cakes/mince pies/nibbles other than fruit and muller lights. It won't be perfect but hopefully won't do too much damage over such a short time span.

Next week in Vegas, however, I will not be thinking about the diet :D I'm not going to go crazy hopefully as I really need to fit into the wedding outfit! We'll see...

Thanks for making me think about it Honey and C31. Always good to have a plan.
