Honey - DH felt guilty about eating my Geo Bar, so he bought me another one :D I'm still being very restrained, I'm not going to eat it before I know how many syns it is, so here goes with more information. They're made by Traidcraft, and 100g contains 362 calories and 5g of fat, which equates to 127 calories and 1.8g fat per bar.

Please could you look it up for me?

    Thank you :D

    LL

p.s. if it's more than 10 syns OH will have another treat for his lunch box!

Can someone explain the SYNs and how it works? Going out for chinese/ thai / asian tonight. Any suggestions for goog low fat versions - or is that just a nonsense and its all v v naughty!

Lois, I would if I could get onto the SW/lifeline website. Not sure if its down or if the password I had from last week no longer works. I have a feeling the site is down because it would normally tell you that the password had expired. I will keep trying!

    Lois,

Traidcraft Geobar, Raisin & Chocolate 35g bar, Traidcraft Geobar, Raisin & Apricot 35g bar, Traidcraft Geobar, Raisin & Cranberry 35g bar
All are 6 1/2 syns on either red or green days.

    How does that sound??
  • Hey Lois, looked that bar up for you - they do 3 variants; raisin and apricot, raisin and chocolate and raisin and cranberry; all are 6.5 syns or green and original.

Had another tough day. NPD brainstorming innovations session with lots of lovely things. Only had a bit of the homemade duck pate, and picked all the meat out of the lovely sandwiches that they had made. What killed me were the homemade chutneys though! oh well, day 1 tomorrow . . . .

    Interesting discussion....

I lost 8kgs in 8 weeks through changing my diet and exercising 6 days a week.

Go to the gym for three weeks (15 days out of 20) and you will start to see yourself transform. You need to push yourself though. Sweat is your friend. It's not a fashion contest, don't go there to be seen, go there to be sweating.

I cut out a lot of fat, grilled not fried everything, took fat metaboliser pills etc. and the fat fell off.

I recommend spin cycling classes and a trip to the sauna/steam room every day too.

    No!!! Really?
    Wow, I should really try.
Such a pity that I cannot join a gym, it's impossible for me to follow a programme of exercises 6 days a week for lack of time, fat metaboliser pills do nothing to me, sauna is forbidden by doctor and spin cyclin classes are a no-no in my condition.
Luckily there are other options that go ok with my health.
    But thanks for the suggestions.

    Hi folks

Well I fell slightly off the wagon today  but nothing too serious. One cheese &Onion pasty (!) and one mini mars bar! :o Been so good lately too - now feeling quite annoyed with myself. Actually felt like pigging out totally - my boss, after months of arguing and bad feeling with the company owner, has finally resigned and has only given 2 weeks notice. As we are a 2 person department this now leaves me (part time) and no-one else in a depatrment that could easily house 3 full timers in my humble opinion! Apparently the bosses son is going to fill the breach on a short term basis - could be interesting as I don't think he has ever done any accounts before! :rotfl:

Can't say I blame her for going, or for not giving much notice, but I am having kittens at the very thought!

Off to walk to mum and dads as have not seen them for a while - have 2 hour window whilst kids are at BB's and Guides so need to walk 2.5 miles each way and have 1/2 hour or so for a coffee whilst over there! Helps me keep to a reasonable speed whilst walking or I won't be back in time.

Heading back to gym tomorrow for fitness test and to be shown the weights etc and work out a proper exercise routine based on age, weight etc Might even break out the RC video when I get home!
