Funny I had a bad day yesterday, just felt all down in the dumps in the evening I think its cos I think I was caught speeding on Tuesday but it was a handheld laser gun and I wasnt pulled over so could I still get done? So promplty ate several bag of crisps I found in the cupboard, that are not usually there.:o Im probably getting worried about tomorrow to be fair as well.

    Hi guys

I put on 1lb yesterday, Iwas partly expecting it as I've not been well so some days I've had half the points i should have had, but I also had a huge indian takeaway one night so thought that I may have a gain. Not too worried as that makes me 1/2lb over goal but I think I will get that off this week.

I may try to make a pumpkin soup later. I made a naughty but rather nice pumpkin pie last night. I am taking it to youth club tonight for some of the kids to try it- not sure what they will make of it though as i know it's not to everyones taste.

    Anyway good luck everyone.

MissMP, do you really walk 9 MILES A DAY?
    Blimey! That IS hard work!

It's not hard work for me - it's a joy. I get high on walking and if the ground is fairly rough and I get that pulling feeling in my legs, then even better. I would like to walk more than that but my dogs are getting older, so I have to make sure that they come home still running in front of me instead of lagging behind, knackered:-) I dread to think what I would weigh if I didn't have a good walk every day. It was my 90 year old neighbour saying to me that she wishes she could still go on good walks that made me realise that I would be devastated if my weight gain stopped me from walking, so I needed to take soem weight off. I wear out lots of pairs of trainers and have found that running shoes last longer.

    Thanks for the Christmas tips.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

  • Suggs - don't let the crisps get you again! They're far to easy to consume quickly - get something harder to chew on! Hope things go well tomorrow :) How long are you in hopital for?

Welcome to donzerella! I'm so impressed - most people wait until after xmas until they rejoin their classes so you're off to a flying start!

Loads of SW advocates here (me included - i love it) but if WW works for you then keep with it. Lots of us SWers make syn-free chips using chipped potatoes and fry light. I never thought i would but I actually prefer the damn things to greasy chip-shop chips now!

Can you eat alot of potatoes on WW? If you can we'll teach you how to make the SW chips. Good luck!
  • i fell off the wagon too last night dammit. Finished off the treatsized stuff leftover from the trick or treaters. Still it's done with no, and i have to be good the rest of hte week to make up for it.

Jenpoptab - I made pumpkin soup this week and it was lush. roast the pumpkin in the oven, scoop it out and chuck it in a pan, with some chicken bovril stock, chop in a bramley apple, blitz and serve. mmmmmmmmm.

    good luck tomorrow Suggs!
  • Just done 1.5 hours at the gym and about to sit down with no points soup (brocc, leek, spring onion, stock lots of black pepper...) but my eyes keep wandering over to the kids flapjacks on the side!
Also i leave my job this week so we're having a leaving meal later today , a party tonight and out loads over the next week, YIKES. i can be so full of good intention before i go and then i see the pudding menu and AGH! it's all out of the window.
I just joined the 2ib savers group online and may look into Slimming world - is it complicated and do you have to be very very organised.

    Hi folks

Hope you are all doing well. I have had a good two weeks holiday and then as planned rejoined SW on Tuesday night. Only a 2lb gain over 11 weeks of not being there so I was chuffed with that, especially as I had jeans on and had only just come back from two weeks being fed by mum!!!!!

Anyway now really focussed as only 7 weeks of weigh ins until Xmas so hoping to loose 2lb a week which will mean another stone gone.

Haven't had a chance to read through all the posts but hope every is okay and will catch up with you again soon.

Tips and suggestions welcome. also i like the ww diet but people seem to talk a lot about SW. is it good?

    donzerella

You have to go with what works for you. There is a lot of talk about SW on this board, which is why I don't post too often. I am a WW devotee, I love the diet and wouldn't do anything else. I did try sw a couple of years ago and found it really complicated and confusing and I didn't get on with it very well. If WW works for you, then stick with it, if not consider trying something different like SW.

HTH and hope to talk on this board some more.
