Suggs - all the best tomorrow with the op. DH has to have a similar one in a few weeks but as it was pre-existing BUPA wont cover it and we are having to pay for him to go privately  Good timing just before Christmas! He will be out of work for up to 2 weeks and on crutches for 6!!

Finally sorted out Bupa and my company, Bupa cant issue an athorisation code, till the admin is done, so have rang the hospital to confirm cover

Honey, I feel sorry for your OH if he will end up on crutches for 6 weeks, poor thing, I am hoping I only have the crutches for a couple of days. Is your OH operation a little bot more involved?

    Night all x

Oh I daren't ask, its probably a whole Knee transplant he's having- you know what men are like :D A woman would be up and about, filling the washing machine, running after the kids and cleaning the house within hours :rotfl:

Nah, only joking Suggsy, All the best for tomorrow. Your fan club on here will be thinking of you. Let us know that you are ok, wont you?

    Nite Nite ;)
  • I go to the gym loads and i enjoy it - but I've kind of plateaued (sp?). i can't possibly go any more and i doa variety of swimming, cardio at the gym, body pump, step etc but for me it's the eating that lets me down! I simply cannot resist temptation which isn't helped by the fact my hubbie is a big eater (of terrible foods).

Which fat metaboliser tablets did you use? i am using diet aid (Boots own) but dunno whether they are any good or not. I also think green tea helps me not to put weight on!

PS anyone got any good no points soup recipes!
  • hope all goes well suggs and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hi all and welcome to all the new members. I don't think it is a problem there is a lot about SW here. It is all new to me and I am facinated. I do not follow a plan just more execise and cutting out the fatty rubbish food.
Unfortunately I fell off the wagon last night. An old friend was stuck with a flat tyre so instead of driving home came to stay. I had a ready meal pasta dish lots of ricotta cheese, nuts crips and then 3 glasses of wine and 1 1/2 cans of 5.6% strong larger. Actually feel rubbish this morning and can't believe I had crips and larger that is so gross. Right now I am starving so will have to get something to eat. I have low fat humus and carrots so will have that. Take care all

    Hello!
I have a day off work today but it's not really a fun one - my dog needed a hair cut so he went to the "poodle parlour" at 8.30 this morning ( he looks dead cute though now!) and whilst he was gone I have cleaned the entire house, put stuff up the attic (meaning to do this for ages but never got round to it) and then went to the local tip to chuck a load of stuff away.
Was up at 5.30 as I coudln't sleep - isn't it always the way when you have a day off?
Have just got back and have realised that I'm actually knackered - so sat down for a cup of tea and had 2 satsumas but then the biscuits in the cupboard were screaming my name and I end up having one of those yummy Finest cookie things (probably a billion syns).

My mum and sister are coming later today to stay for the weekend hence the frantic cleaning and bed changing etc. We're attempting to do the majority of the Xmas shopping over the next two days to get it out of the way. (I HATE SHOPPING!!!)

Any way off to wash kitchen floor now - the whole house will then be sparkly!
Will only last until OH gets home though

well my idea about the carrotts and humus never happened, I ate some more nuts and now I am still hungry. Must resist must resists. Rachel sounds like you are doing a great job I currently have my cleaner working in the background.

Reminds me of when my DH had a knee op which meant he was off work for two months and had to use crutches - it didn't stop him digging out a six foot deep garden pond though! :rotfl:
