Hi,
I would like to join please. I have done slimming world a few years ago and lost 6 stone, put it all back on of course.
I have lots of family stuff going on now and know that I would not be able to go to class, as well as not having the dosh to go. I have a huge amount of weight to lose and just feel really despondant about it all.
I love the sound of this but would I be able to have my weekly target as 1lb as I do not want to set myself impossible tasks and then feel useless.
Cheers.0 -
Hya. I didn`t realise that you had weigh-ins etc on here. Can I join please, and is this the right thread for it. Also, can`t find the S.world password. Used to be on here somewhere. Thanks0

Hi Bazz,
I have only recently joined this thread myself. Unfortunately, as I understand it, people can't post the slimming world password, as it is copyrighted, so illegal to put on an open forum like this.
Lois has a 2lb a week weight loss club, so you can ask her about joining that.
Finally good luck in your weight loss journey.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Thanks very much. Where do I find Lois`s weightloss club? Thanks again0

JenIttels wrote:Flis, I'm sorry if i sound like a bith but your weight will fluctuate throughout the week and can depend on the time of day you weigh in, the surface your scales sit on, what you had for dinner last night etc etc.
It's commonly recommended that you weigh yourself just once a week (although many people weigh in less than that) as it gives you a more realistic figure of what you've lost.
It's great that the scales have further motivated you to keep up the healthy eating but if tomorrow they say you've put on a few lbs you'll be so disappointed (i sure tend to be!) when in fact you could just be retaining water or something.
Put the scales away! We all start off by weighing ourselves obsessively then, after nagging from the other people on this thread, they tend to get put away (or sold in my case!) and we're all much better from it!
Lots of luck - have fun* at the gym
*as much fun as one can have anyway!
Ok Jen, I feel suitably nagged!! I promise I will not weigh myself again until next week (as hard as it will be to resist the scales, they call to me!!). You are right tho, there are many reasons weight can fluctuate, so I do know that doing it every single day is not a good idea, it was just quite a motivating thing for the first day. I always find the first two weeks of dieting the hardest, until I get into it.
So, no more daily weighing for me then!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -

Message or PM Lois and she will be able to tell you about it, I haven't joined yet, so don't know much about it myself.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Hi All,
Just got back form the gym, I did it. Am quite pleased and was suprised they didn't really knacker me out. He said the aim was to feel like you had done something, but not be ready to collapse in a corner!! I am going back again tomorrow for another session where he will go through the routine he has devised for me again, then I can go whenever I want and do it all by myself!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -

Oops - I added you to the list Flis. If you don't want to do it just let me know and I'll take you off again.
Bazz - you found itWould you like to join? If you would, I'll add you to the list next Monday. If you're going it alone, set Monday as your regular weigh in day and post your result either here on the thread, by pm, or by email - to pm or email me just click on my user name. If you're doing a slimming class with a regular weigh in, post your result on whatever day you go, and I'll pick it up for the next chart.
Good luck

Well done Flis, good for you. The first day will always be the worst - fear of the unknown and all that! Its great that you have the determination to go. Hope the legs etc are ok in the morning
Bazz and LilacLillie - we are unable to post the password for SW as Flis says. It is copyright protected and to post on here would jeaopardize the future of this forum. I'm sure none of us want that. There are plenty of us on here who go to SW classes and none of us mind looking up syn values etc - you just have to ask
I gained half a pound this week and am distraught. I stuck to the plan rigidly apart from the shared indian on Saturday night (although see previous posts - this was in and out as quickly as I ate it :rotfl: )This is the first week in all of my SW days that I have exercised. I walked 3 miles one night and did my workout DVD for 4 night and I gained 1/2lb  I know its only 1/2lb but I stood on the scales and cried
I'm ok today, I know there are going to be more weeks but this was my last weigh in before my birthday and I had set myself a goal for then. Oh well, another time. I havent given up!!0
