Can anyone please tell me if we can still access SW online from passwords that used to be posted on here? if so what's the latest?
After seeing Dr tomorrow, all being well, I'll be working my way back on to the diet again.

Hi and welcome to this thread. You've come to the right place for help and support whichever plan you follow.

I'm sorry but the SW password is copyright protected and can't be disclosed on a public board, but if there's anything you want the syn value of, perhaps we can look it up for you.

And welcome to Flis - don't think about what you've got to lose overall. Cut it down into manageable chunks, say ½ stone, and focus on getting that off. With your committment and our support, you'll get where you want to be :T

Miss Moneypenny "Just" 2lb loss??????????? There are those of us who'd kill for that :rotfl: Well done!

Tallgirl an excellent result, well done :j

Me4Bargains please don't panic, we all do it at some point, just make sure a relapse doesn't lead to a collapse. Get straight back on plan and you'll be fine!

Welcome back Katyk, sorry about your class closing, but you can always get an exercise dvd for home (cheaper than the gym) and join another slimming group or even just use us here as your support network - there you are, sorted :rotfl:

Sorry Madauri I didn't realise you were in Spain. I assumed, with all the tartan, that you were in Scotland

Thanks for the welcome. It does feel unachievable thinking about the whole lot. Maybe I should just break it down into chunks instead. Maybe I could give myself an incentive for each bit I lose (maybe each stone or half stone). Have other people done this? What have you used as incentives? (I suppose chocolate is not a good idea:D )

No chocolate isn't ideal as an incentive to slim :rotfl:

But giving yourself an incentive is an excellent idea - how about having your nails done after ½ stone, then having a new hair-style after the next ½ stone. If money's tight, you could always give yourself a pampering manicure or get a friend to do it for you. Buying a new perfume does it for me - feels really special!

Welcome Back Lilac Lillie and Hello and welcome to Flis. You're in the right place for help, support and motivation.

Well done to Katyk, tall girl and miss moneypenny on their losses. Katky - I can recommend the "allstar workout" dvd.

    Thanks everybody.

I already have several exercise videos including Anne Diamond (slightly dated!), 2 Rosemary Conleys and Callanetics. All I need to do is get the motivation to put one on :o - and figure a way to get the house, or at least living room, to myself as I won't do it in front of family! That's the problem with the kids getting older - their bedtimes keep getting closer to my own.

Must call my old RC consultant and see if she knows anywhere. Only gym I have nearby (non-driver) always looks so full of fitties rather then fatties. Did go to an exercise class here once but found it somwhat intimidating - could be something to do with instructor announcing 'Right ladies, I would like you all to give me 20 full press-ups now'.......

Have a night out coming up soon (about 3 weeks) and dress is bought but, although it fits OK now, it would just look that bit better if I were to drop around 5-6 lbs or so:rotfl:

Hello, I'm new on here so im a bit nervous about posting. Could anybody please give me some advice, i have been following slimming world and attending meetings but cant seem to lose weight.I have followed the plan faithfully, in my first week i maintained, week 2 lost 1pound,week 3 another 1pound, then gained them back somehow the week after. I upped my walking but i walk alot anyway, stuck rigidly to the plan and maintained again. Leader cant see what i'm doing wrong. Also suffer terrible digestive problems whilst on green days, but dont eat meat to do red days.Thinking of packing it in and going back to weight watchers, did this many years ago and it seemed to work then, but i didnt really want to go back to counting points. Sorry for rambling on, would appreciate any ideas. My weight is 11.7 and would like to get back to about 8.7 -9 stones.Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome back consultant31
The SW password used to be out on this thread (earlier this year), every week.
I knew then it shouldn't have been, but as it always was I assumed it was still posted and was looking for it now I hope to be back.

Hello Ju - welcome, and well done for finding us and making this your first post :T

Sorry to hear you haven't had much success with Slimming World. It could be a period of settling in, so you may find that if you stick at it you will start to see results. It's interesting that you say you have terrible digestive problems, which makes me wonder if you've got an underlying problem such as irritable bowel syndrome that might be affecting your weight loss.

They do say that you should check with your doctor before starting any weight loss or exercise programme, so it may be worth making an appointment and letting your doctor know about these digestive problems. GP surgeries often have support programmes for people who need to lose weight, so that may be an alternative to attending SW (free too!).

Let us know what you decide to do.

    Hi All,

Can I come and join you?

I have done the Weight Watchers diet in the past and although I am not going to go to the classes (no money!) think that I will follow that diet at home. My doctor weighed me and I have about 8st to lose, so it is going to be quite a task, but I really want to do it. I had porridge for breakfast today and have just had a tomato rissotto for my lunch, so doing ok so far, not sure what to have for tea yet, will see what I have in the cupboards.

So, hi to everyone and I look forward to getting to know you all.

    Flis

Hi Flis, and welcome. Have you thought of trying Slimming World? I really believe it is the perfect diet for people with a lot to lose. I've seen lots of stories about people who have lost huge amounts following the SW plan - the most I'm aware of was NINETEEN stone! If you can't afford to join, you can get a 7-day plan from their website to start you off, and then you could buy a pack - essential for finding out about healthy extras and they're always for sale on Ebay. And, there are plenty of people on this thread who do SW so we can give you any help and advice you need, including looking up syn values on the website.
