    Hi Guys

well I am quite organised today, I have prepared stuffed peppers for lunch. I have par boiled potatoes, some for roast and some for jackets (one lot for tomorrow). A nice healthy lunch as we had a family day yesterday bowling and then pizza hut- so not a good food day yesterday, but first time in 1 year that I have been to pizza hut, so was a special treat. Peppers are really low in points as the only thing of points is the garlic puree and lentils, everything else is 0 points. Really smell good- can't wait to try them.

Just about to sweep floor for conservatory as laminate going down today then there is just the final electric and 1 wall to paint next week and it will be done- hurrah! Roll on Christmas to show it off.

Anyway well done everybody this week.

It was lovely but I have spent all night on the loo and being sick. It would appear that Indian food does not agree with my IBS ! Wish I hadnt bothered now.

I'm sorry it made you ill, but at least you won't have put any weight on :rotfl: (sorry, I'm not really laughing, you must be exhausted).

We've been out to lunch at a lovely place nearby that does a Sunday carvery.
There's a big range of vegetables (which I love) but the only thing I can't resist, and really should, is their mashed potato. It's so gorgeous, it must have butter or cream in it.
But, I never have a starter and always have the melon for a pudding, so I feel I'm entitled to the mash :A
Who am I kidding??? There's probably a hundred syns in the amount I pile on my plate

Hope everyone's having a happy and peaceful Sunday!

DH and I fancied a carvery last weekend, so we went to one that we know is good, but they were really busy and said at least one hour wait. It was standing room only in the bar, and we were both really hungry so we decided to go to another one, not quite as good, but still a carvery. When we got there, they said they couldn't take anyone else because they'd had a really busy day and couldn't guarantee that there would be enough food left! I think the world and his wife fancied carvery last weekend!

We finally decided to go to the Harvester, which wasn't what we wanted at all, but we did enjoy the meal. The good thing about the Harvester is the salad bar - instead of a starter from the menu I fill up a bowl with all the free salad stuff, avoiding the potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, bacon bits, mayonnaise, crusty rolls and butter...:A and top it off with a little fat free vinaigrette dressing. The downside is that they do lots of dishes that would be great on a red day, except that the only vegetable they seem to be aware of is peas, so I opt for no peas, plain jacket potato, and then get more salad from the bar.

Honey - sorry to hear the indian didn't agree with you.

Got to go - my dinner is ready (DH cooks on Sundays :D).

  • I slice the squash, then peel and deseed the slice and cook it on the George Foreman. It makes a great sweet tasting snack.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Hi Madauri - have a look at this. They're a great way to cook foods that have fat in them such as sausages, as the fat drains away as you cook. You should see how much oil comes out of a salmon fillet!
