  • Brill - thanks for including me in. I actually did my weekly shop yday and have stocked up on fruit and veg. I might even start it today (only because I have ate all of the chocolate in the house knowing I would be dieting soon - that's really terrible I know). And we have cancelled going to a party tonight so that's less alcohol consumption!

I will be good today, try to be tomorrow (mum's cooking) and start the class on Tuesday, and then do I e-mail my results every Tuesday after weightwatchers - do I tell you what my first weigh in was? I am feeling so motivated, hope it lasts!

  • Hi All

I would like to start and be a part of the weekly weigh in. I intend to start from 2nd and have at least four stone to lose. !!

Happy New Year to you all
  • Hi - can anyone join this? I would love to give it a try. I need to lose lots (at least 3 and 1/2 stone). I need to break it down into little chunks, like 1/2 stone by 2nd Feb. I think checking in on here would be very supportive, and would also take me out of the kitchen near all that temptation!!!!!!!! We can do it...

Weeeeeeeh, so many new faces! Welcome all, it looks like the board is going to be very exciting in the next weeks!

Lois, you very kindly update the chart and put it here for us every week... I would say it is up to you when to do it. The most convenient day of the week for you would be perfect. By the way, I've lost one pound this week (how? Chi lo sa...)

Mics chick, I am afraid sweet potatoes are potatoes, and very high in sugar content, so no, they can't be free on red days. Try using parsnips instead. Also, the yogurt does soften the cereal a little, although it's true not so much as milk. But I do SW and I'd say the idea is to put more yogurt than cereal in - yogurt is free, but cereals aren't. If you don't like natural yogurt, try adding sweetener, or easier and nicer, use muller light in your favourite flavour.

Hi all, and welcome to all the new people :D

The first chart of the year will be on Tuesday night, and then back to Mondays after that.

I'm going out soon and won't be back until tomorrow afternoon, so I hope everybody has a great time tonight, don't forget to have one soft drink for every alcoholic drink - it's better for your liver and means you're less likely to fall over before midnight! :rotfl:

    Hi all

WOW what a lot of new names!

I have not been on in ages and have been very ill behaved in that time. Now up about 3 more pounds, leaving me only about 11lb down on my original start weight! Have not been to the gym at all in the last 3 weeks and have even been catching bus to work rather than walking so have really let it slip. After all those good intentions of a 'good' xmas full of satsumas and brussels too (Did have those, just a pity also had all the chocolate, crisps, fried foods, booze......)

Oh well, back to the drawing board. Aiming for 4 stone by next xmas! Will target first stone for end February.

    Good luck everybody!
    Happy New Year

Heello! Even more new people - welcome chaps!
We have decided not go home to South Wales as intended for the New Year and are now staying home and the OH is going to make a curry banquet instead. Luckily all of the veggie curry recipes we have are from SW and are mostly free foods so will be OK there. However, there's still plenty of booze and choccy left so won't be an angel. But it does mean that I will be at home tomorrow morning and can restart the diet full swing with no well meaning mother to sabotage day 1!

By the way Mics-chick I also drink gallons of diet cola (usually Diet Pepsi) - I find it almost impossible to give up too!
