Coming to terms with a stillbirth

Dear RedwoodBrook, I'm so sorry to hear about your baby Felix. We lost our Son, Edward on 4th April 2010 at 35 weeks and to this day we do not know why or what caused his heart to stop beating. I hadn't felt movement over the last few hours, but thought that he was getting bigger and was having a bit of a rest! At 1am on 2nd April, we were told in the hospital that our baby had died. We had a PM, but nothing was found.
My heart goes out to you - and can I just say, you will ALWAYS be Felix's Mum. Just because he isn't here with you, does not mean you have no Son. He just so happens to be your angel baby. It is incredibly early days for you......the next few weeks will go by in a daze (I can't really remember April/May at all!) but you will start to feel stronger and you WILL have happy and good days......It's been nearly 7 months for us and I have good days and bad. Yesterday, I couldn't stop crying all day, but today I'm ok.
Please do get in contact with Sands, the lovely ladies (and men) will try and guide you through this terrible journey with all the love and support in the world. Also, try and find a Sands meeting (every month, might be different where you live) as this might help you too.
Please feel free to message me whenever you feel the need, I'm not at my computer every day but will answer asap.
Lots of love and BIG hugs for our Angel Sons xxxxx0
