No, you can make a note of the current ones in case you need/want to change them back.

The address' I have given you are from the Virgin Media web site so will work.
  • ok thanks just changed numbers, do you think that will get rid of the virus now?

Make sure you do a full scan with your anti virus and malwarebytes. There could still be things around your system that need cleaning up.

The numbers you changed point your router to servers on the Internet. In your case a virus changed the numbers to servers that will re-direct your web browser to all kinds of places. That's the first time I've seen it happen. It shouldn't happen again now that you have changed your router password. Providing the password you used is a strong one.
  • Malaware found 4 items, delted them, just running mse now
  • Sorry to jump in to this thread.

Are you running malwarebytes? Can you post the log on here please so we can have a look. Open malwarebytes, under the LOGS tab at the top, you will find the latest dated log at the top. Click this to open up a notebook log which can be copied onto here.

    Xmas Saver!
i have just had a phone call from an indian guy saying "i'm calling because you have had internet problems in your area" said it was on behalf of talk talk, i asked him what the name of the person who he was calling was and he said i"i got no name" then went onto say people are sending out viruses via mail, facebook etc. i am really suspicious about this, can you get calls like this?.

i gave no details out at all

Apparently there is a scam going around along these lines. They random dial a number saying you do/may have an infected computer, and offer to fix it.......for a fee of course. I'll try and find proper info, rather than the goobly-de-gook in my mind.

Found a more reputable report rather than it coming from me.
