What if there's a car with fake plates with the same reg as the OP.
Just as well Morrisions alerted the police to it over the fuel incident, else the OP could be getting parking tickets and speeding fines.
The OP ought to be writing a thank you letter to Morrisions and sending them a bunch of flowers.

Its not silly to the op, whats silly to me is how Morrisons have refused to deal with the complaint in a grown up way and address the issues raised0
