alizee...
They are called Trolls, as I understand it, and pests that are hard to eradicate.0 -
Can I remind anyone who has any sort of problem that involves something going wrong in a shop which POSSIBLY involves contaminated food, suspicious behaviour , anything at all which might mentions children ,managers not responding to complaints or just about anything else to please think VERY carefully before they ask for advice on here!
As budding masochists they would be far better to advertise for a friendly sadist. Failing that, buy a set of stocks, stick your head in it and let people chuck rotten eggs at you ! Its probably less stressful that being insulted on here and its certainly as much use.
What a decidedly odd post:cool:0 -
anyone else notice how this happens all the time and us brits who are great at moaning actually do nothing and tell people "get over it" or "move on" hmmmm thats why this country is going like it is. morrisons, tesco, asda and all the others think they above the law so its time people did something about it.
contact the police and get the report. copy it and send it to morrisons head office. inform them if they continue to do nothing then you will go to the press.
and a message to all you who said "get over it" or "move on" just think what would you do if it happened to your mothers, fathers or grand parents? you would all be spitting bullets would you tell them to "get over it" no you wouldnt so a little support for people is whats needed. personally i would have marched into morrisons demanded to see the manager and make him put it right there and then.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Which is exactly why I posted that if I had wanted a written apology I would have been more vigorous in my pursuit of same.
PS - I would tell my mother to get over it too:D0 -
Hello Drayhaw.
Its like i posted earlier...i have a feeling that if they thought that they had done wrong they would have apologised a long time ago,and not after numerous requests to do so.
I also understand that the OP did in fact get a form of apology from the company, but i will hazzard a guess that because it didnt come from the CEO then it was not good enough.
I do understand her frustration at what happened, however i also understand that this cannot go on forever, also i understand other peoples opinions when they say that no one was hurt, get over it.
I have said to the OP that if she wishes to continue this then that is upto them and i do wish them good luck, but i just feel that they will end up banging there heads against a wall.Forum spellcheckers are the pitts.0 -
One time a guy filled up a stolen car and came in saying he'd forgotten his wallet and asked if he could come back and pay later. I told him he had to pay or be reported for theft, he said he'd go back to his car and call a friend. I followed him and wrote down his plate number and he started shouting abuse at me then left without paying. The police did him for the theft of the car but refused to prosecute him for the theft of petrol because he came in and asked to pay later so they considered it a civil matter.
I would guess thats because to prove theft has occured you have to prove that there was an intent to permanantly deprive the owner of the goods.
I recall being in a petrol station a few years ago, guy filled up, was in front of me to pay, said had left wallet (looked really embarrased), offered to call partner at home to pay over phone, guy behind till said no- had to be by card now, guy said would come back, offered to leave car and walk home, man behind till said no, said would call police, he did this, the man waited outside for police to arrive (they did in a few minutes) and told petrol shop man off for wasting their time. I have never bought petrol from this place since....I know the guy was probably only doing his job etc but surely some common sense should come into this, yes sir Im happy to take payment from the wife over the phone, no worries come straight back (within 30mins) and we call it quits, if you dont will need to inform the police etc.0 -

I have actually forgotten my wallet before when filling up with petrol. I went in and explained the situation and they were happy for me to go home, get my wallet and return. They did say I needed to be reasonably quick but I took my car and everything. This is the response you should receive rather than wasting police time.
I also had to go to a cash machine when the petrol station refused my card but that was their fault.0 -
