^^ That doesn't wash with me, she should have seen both myself and the car behind me stop for the queue.
Her account proves she was not paying attention as she claims I was the only car at the side of the road and that all others were in the centre.
She insists I was parked illegally on the kerb and on a yellow line. So therefore claims that by being in a queue i've broken the law.
I was not parked (clearly), she made a bad judgement and I should not have to pay for her stupidity. The speed she was travelling, she could easily have killed anyone who walked out across that road, speeding past when vision is obscured on both sides is simply irresponsible....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example- approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road
- where the road narrows
- when approaching a school crossing patrol
- between the kerb and a bus or tram when it is at a stop
- where traffic is queuing at junctions or road works
- when you would force another road user to swerve or slow down
- at a level crossing
- when a road user is indicating right, even if you believe the signal should have been cancelled. Do not take a risk; wait for the signal to be cancelled
- stay behind if you are following a cyclist approaching a roundabout or junction, and you intend to turn left
- when a tram is standing at a kerbside tram stop and there is no clearly marked passing lane for other traffic

at the end of the day we do not like to be in accidents we will allways look to blame the other party when we are involved in them, you posted here to ask our opinion, whether you like the opinion or not take it onboard as the insurer will see what we see. your opinion of her position in the que will be discredited as they cannot see it from the video, whether she lied through her teath to get off with it is regardless as WE see you pull into collision WE did not see you do a final check in your blind spot or mirrors and this is what the insurers will be looking for. brace yourself, some have said 50/50 but i put blame down to you failing to check one final time. there are odiots on the road that misinterparate situations and make mistakes its upto us and you to do everything in you power to check for them!! and keep yourself safe.0

Ok I lied.
Why did you try to overtake the queueing car in front?0 -
To be fair to the first 'idiot' in the Rover, they were possibly just about commited to passing the parked cars on their side as you emerged around the corner with the zebra crossing on it? Could've slowed down a bit perhaps though.
As for the speed of the blue Modus, their stopping distance suggests a speed lower than 35/40 mph.
From that video I wouldn't have been able to figure out what the people carrier's intentions were. I wouldn't have assumed anyone behind me would have known what I was doing either before I made a move.0 -
Ok I lied.
Why did you try to overtake the queueing car in front?
Because he was on his mobile phone and up on the kerb..... I stopped until I thought I knew his intentions.
I still think he was on his phone and parked up, but he drove off after the collision as most people do when they witness something like this.
Pedestrian crossing? So now im speeding? shut up fool..... I barely touched 20mph the whole time!! if i'd included the audio you'd have heard me short shift to second gear after pulling away and hold it there!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Looking at that video it looks to me as though it's your fault or at best a 50/500

My first reaction when I saw that bit in the video was "you could have got a bus through that gap".Strider590 wrote: »Oh, the car coming the other way.... He should have waited, if your side of the road is obstructed by parked cars you MUST give way.
My advice would be to move on from assuming that everyone else was an idiot. You waiting behind a car that was half on the pavement and you were half on the pavement. A car behind became impatient and pulled round you. You pulled out into them.Happy chappy0 -
^^ how do you judge im on the pavement?? im atleast 2-3 inches from the kerb.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Ah you must be one of those drivers who force their way into oncoming traffic to pass parked cars, forcing me into the gutter.Oh and you were wrong about that car coming the other way that "should have given way". You didn't have right of way; no-one did.Highway_Code wrote:Overtaking 163.
give way to oncoming vehicles before passing parked vehicles or other obstructions on your side of the road0
