They'll be charged.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Basically if you have a text message allowance, every MMS you send will deduct 4 messages from your allowance.
If you have an unlimited tariff you will be charged whatever rate was agreed to when you signed up (most likely 20p - check at https://myo2services.o2.co.uk/mytariffandboltons > Calling Plan Details).0 -
I am quite annoyed about the situation as I was not made clear to me this was going to happen.
The customer services member I spoke to when I purchased the iPhone 4 led me to believe that MMS would be at no additional cost. I did ask specifically about the cost of MMS as I had been with O2 for 10+ years and I tend to send about 100 MMS each month (1 MMS = 4 inclusive minutes of old tarif), however they said nothing about a free period followed by a charge for such messages.
I didn't read the small print which seems to indicate that MMS do not form part of inclusive minutes.
I believe I have been mis-sold this policy, but the O2 'manager' who called me back this afternoon said that there was nothing he could do, but for me to write to the customer complaints team.
I don't feel I have much to stand on unless they still have a copy of my telephone conversation with them when I purchased the iPhone. I don't want to cancel my contract but do feel hard done by!!0 -
