Just got off the phone with o2 and they sounded alright, basically if you've got a new contract (phone came with ios4) your getting the charge.
If your on a old contract (phone came with ios3 but you updated through iTunes) you shouldn't be charged.
I just checked my 02 on the website and it still says I've got my free mms.
If you do get charged and your on a old contract contact them0 -
With O2 changing the fact that they can now make you pay for MMS... can they also now change the pricing to the web browser when ever they
feel like it to?Comping & Coupons!0 -

It was a promotion, which is now over....0 -
It's nothing to do with ios4 software or what version of the i phone you have. I am on a old i phone tariff but have one of the latest i phone 4 handsets that I purchased SIM free. It's the people who signed up to a new contract that will now be charged for MMS. This has been on the official O2 forums.0

Yes and Sporedude answered it for you. The people who are being charged for MMS are the ones who entered the new contracts and the same would apply with your data or web browsing. O2 are just following the other networks who changed to offering unlimited text but started charging separately for MMS. Don't forget O2 sent out the wrong information to a lot of people including me. Check your tariff my signing into the O2 site and you might find your on the old deal with MMS.0 -

O2 sent out a text message to inform people the temporary period for free MMS was coming to a end but they also sent the text to people like me who the change does not apply to as I have not changed on to the new tariffs.
You can check this out by going to the O2 home page and signing in and clicking on my O2 for all your account details.0 -
