Hope everyones ok, not been on much as OH came back fri night then went again this morning :( T has been so miserable since left, I think he is getting very aware of his daddy only being here a day per week. Roll on friday as OH will hopefully be working at the local office from then until new year *fingers crossed*

He phoned me tonight to say that he has been given a bonus for working away so much so that is good (been as he doesnt get any overtime for working away)

I am trying T in his own room tonight, I am v nervous about it! OH helped me make up the cot but I have put T in his moses basket inside the cot to get him used to the room 1st, hope he sleeps ok!

Hope the first night went ok.:)

I've been looking at the humous recipes on CFR and they look very nommy...is there one you'd recommend to start with Aless?

Becles - I think you're right about the salt. It's hard to get things into perspective sometimes.

Sugar - I paniced in the night thinking I'd used your real name on here again but fortunately not :o What a numpty your upstairs neighbour is. Hope the landlord sorts him out.

I'm going out for lunch with my RL mummy friend today, she's had a mini windfall and said she wanted to treat me :D Feel a bit :( tho coz she goes back to work FT in Jan. We'll really miss both her and her bubba.

We're an unwell household today. I've got a really sore throat combined with totm..DH has got a nasty cough and has been feeling feverish. T is whingy today so wondering if he's coming down with it too. He crawled faster than the speed of light to come and see me when i came down this morning tho which was lovely :A

SS and Pink we had a good night thanks :) T slept from 10pm until 8.45amc
:) the monitor went off a few times but it was just him snoring. He woke me this morning by chattering, I opened the door and he seemed to be talking to the canopy over his cot!

So pleased! I also slept for 7 hours :) 1st time for ages!

All this talk of crusty bread is making me want some!

<< is now happily nomming pate on toast and wishing she had posh bread and not just brown sliced to go underneath the pate.

I agree with you on militant veggies/vegans being irritating. When I was a vegetarian I was always a bit :o when people talked about it in case they thought I was one of those. I think the only acceptable commentary on someone else's meal choices is, ooh, that looks good! and nothing if it doesn't.
I always used to be worried that people would assume I was militant about breastfeeding because I did it for a long time.

If i give her fish i will have to have all the windows open until i cannot smell anything. I might just ask my mum to cook it and bring it to us actually :rotfl:
The thought of cooking a dead fish makes me want to hurl.
    Why not try tinned fish?

Lol - there is so much to think about isn't there?! I think that checking there is no 'added' salt would be fine. I tend to be very fussy and buy really good quality ham for LO. I don't think LOs should have pate until they are a bit older (over 2?) but I'm not sure about that one - think its the same arguement as pg women - perhps someone else can clarify for us? thanks
There are two potential issues with pate - listeria and "too much" vitamin A. It is hard to find out what the actual risk of listeria is though - according to an article from the ARM that Sami linked to a while ago it is so low there is very little scientific literature about it and it is usually case studies which implies it is uncommon. As far as vitamin A goes, I was well below the limit for vitamin A when I analysed my diet and I was having pate twice a week and other things containing liver too. Therefore I still eat pate as I don't consider it to be a risk.

Children are not supposed to have liver if they are taking multi vitamins and they are "supposed" to take multivitamins from 12 months to age five (or from six months if they are breastfed).
