Mel i am only decorating as my whole house is magnolia and with the little ones i have lovely grey streaks along the walls otherwise i wouldnt have bothered lol! it does look so much cleaner though
As for having people come ther will be my siter and Nephew and then it will be OH friends! so dont worry, unless you want to come and then i can say i have a friend
Hope your LO is ok soon delain and your not scrubbing any more carpets
I've got scribblers sadly. And with the twins being the way they are sometimes they will just laugh when you tell them off. Their room is awful, scribbles on every wall even high up above the bunk beds. All over the upstairs hall too and DD1 will smuggle pens and pencils up there it's neverending. I just want to decorate them and make them nice, get DD1's room done (they'd scribbled that too!) so they can have a 'proper' bedroom instead of the hellhole they've currently got.
DD1 stil in with them as stripping her wooodchip is an unfinished nightmare.
Got paint for the bedrooms and lounge, got it 5 months ago at least but can't get OH to see what the big hurry is. I did want the lounge done before we put the christmas decs up but unless I want to celebrate Christmas in March can't see it happening
She hasn't been sick again (she was sick at least 7 times in all and had the trots too) so hopefully she will be ok to come on the school run tomorrow or I'll have to find a way to get the other 2 in.
Oh and I don't let my Mum drink at my house. She gets all manic and weird and starts yelling at me about stupid stuff, like my Dad leaving her for someone else (I was 4) and her losing the love of her life because he had to move out because social services said was him or us and she chose wrong. She has major rose tinted glasses there he was awful :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Hello CAFC, saw your post and thought I would add what A has since shes around the same age as T and L.
Btw, I started early with A as she had this mad growth spurt, then when I thought she had calmed down she was still being a greedy guts. Youre spot on with your timing with L.
This is approx what A has (milk times do vary as I still feed on demand when shes head butting my chest).
7:30 milk (dont know how much due to BFing but DH has recently given bottles and theyve been around the 220mls mark)
8:00 Toast (which she eats herself as shes really fussy about 'doing it herself' now! She doesnt eat a lot, maybe half a slice as shes just started having solids to pick up herself from her tray.) then baby porridge: 5 desert spoons with pureed fruit to change the taste on different days.
10:30- Milk
12ish- dinner Was a puree but now were on bake potato with philadelphia, fromage frais for desert.
4 ish- milk and dinner, similar to 12
7ish- she will eat with us, often a baby friendly version of our plates as she tends to eat more if she eats the same as us. She will then have either fruit/porridge/mashed banana and milk/fromage frais depending on how much dinner she had.
She will have a top up of milk before bed at 8 and then the night feeds are all messed up so wont bother boring you with that.
My cousin started weaning at the same time as me as her LO is 4 weeks older than A. She actually began with stage 2 food and mashed everything rather than purees. We went out to dinner last week and she ate her non-mashed cauliflower cheese quite happily. I followed suit by always offering her something she can pick up from her tray as well as being spoon fed and that seems to work for us- a bit of gagging for a few days but now shes fine.
Oh, forgot to add, I always offer her either milk or water in a sippy cup when shes having meals. I think she enjoys that part as she always smiles after having a drink.
And finally, (sorry for being a page hog) her milk feeds have gone down which I was worried about at first so now I try to make meals that I can include it- I find the ready made cartons are better (although not very mse) for making a cheese sauce for example. I only know recipes because I got a free book with the mother and baby mag (Annabel Karmel). Since A has been ill, she has been refusing her dinner time meal and wants more milk instead but I think that could be to do with cuddles.
Hope this helps in someway. And this really helped me: http://www.netmums.com/food/Weaning_chart.420/First baby born 10/06/10:heartpuls 6lb 10z:heartpulsI love my little family0 -
Morning everyone.
Kids are asleep, I just can't sleep.
Sorry I haven't read back yet, I'll try to in a minute.
Hope all the formerly ill mummies, OHs and littlies are now feeling better, and hugs to anyone who needs them.
Spent the weekend packing, and guess what I'll be doing this week?.
Didn't get as much as wanted to done. MIL kindly had the kids yesterday, but DH came down with some nasty tummy bug and spent the day in bed, running to and from the bathroom, so it was just me trying to pack. It's strange in the house at the moment, as hubby managed to get the beds (minus mattresses, thankfully), sofa, table, wardrobe, drawers etc into storage on Saturday morning with the help of a friend, so I'm currently sitting on the floor.
Someone came yesterday (from freecycle) to pick up our washing machine, and in a strange moment of karma, I was also offered a tv off freecycle yesterday (so DH can finally have his computer monitor back), so went to fetch that.
Oh well, I started trying to pack up the kitchen a few minutes ago, but it was a bit noisy, so I think I'll have a read back and then venture over to the comps forum and try entering a few competitions.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Morning all. Izzy woke me at 5:20 this morning . I insisted she had to go back to bed, and got in with her, so we had some more relaxing quiet time even though neither of us went back to sleep. It is going to be a real struggle today, especially after my week off! It is a good thing they have a coffee machine at work .
But now I will be thinking all day "at least I wasn't up as early as redstarnieWill you be able to get a nap in later, or is that wishful thinking? When are you due to move? I remember it is before Christmas, but not quite exactly. It sounds like you have everything under control and moving in the right direction anyway

Hi Ladybird, sorry you had an early morning
I doubt I'll be able to get a nap in - we move on Friday, and I desperately need to finish getting packed. I also need to drop DH's car off at the garage for it's MOT, and I'll probably have to wait around in town for a bus back. I doubt DH will be going to work today (could hear him being sick at regular intervals through the night), but I don't think he'll be able to be much help.
I only wish I did have everything under control lol, but thank-you for thinking that I might have!Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Oh well, better get the kids up. Don't know how much time I'll have to get on later, so may be a while until I can post. (Then again, if I start procrastinating, I may be back on soon!)

Morning
Sounds like a tough time Red. Hope OH feels better soon and you get some jobs done today.
Another chilly day today - currently -6°C outside. Can't do the work scheduled for today as my stands and paperwork didn't arrive. Going to finish off catching up on jobs that should have been done last week and do some "anytime this week" jobs, so I'll have space free to do today's work later in the week when the stands arrive.
Secondary school is open today and the boys have left. Primary school is open but not heard about nursery yet.
Have a good day all xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
Morning...another early riser here. 4am  but let him whinge until 4:30 until finally giving up and bringing him into bed. My happy little baby has been nothing but a moanbag for 2 weeks straight and my sanity is slowly going. Think will take him to doctor's tomorrow if he's still grumpmeister today, just to check there's not something underlying that's making him like this for so long.
