    Morning all!

I'm enjoying the baby updates. Miss M now walks very confidently and has the two front teeth and one at the bottom (middle bottom right) but appears to be working on the one to the right of that rather than a nice symmetrical middle bottom left one. She is getting very demanding now and much harder work to take out and about but extremely charming and will smile and wave at everyone who so much as looks at her - although she does take random dislikes occasionally.

Nightmarish morning - we're due to fly out this morning, all the flights before ours are cancelled, Husband is sick and shivering and the chances of our flight taking off are minimal but because Sleazyjet are taking it down to the wire we're going to have to go to the airport to find out it's been cancelled rather than staying here. I'm obsessively refreshing the departures page hoping for a cancellation, hate seeing Husband shaking under the covers and knowing we have a totally unnecessary journey coming up :(

Susan - that makes sense why you plan so carefuly now!
I'm a planner anyway though - I started writing my next birthplan when Alice was seven months.

Is it possible with 2nd bump I could be showing already at only 8 weeks???? Am dreading showing early as don't want to tell anyone at work until at least 15 weeks if I can help it. See, utterly pathetic moaning!
I worked out my friend was pregnant with her fourth at nine weeks because she was showing. I had a big bulge of fat with Alice well before eight weeks but because of being thin nobody noticed it because it just made me look normal. Second pregnancy I remember my waist being 2" bigger at seven weeks but I can't remember whether that was compared with pre-pregnancy or pre-Alice (pre-Alice would have made it only 1" increase as I stayed an inch bigger than pre-Alice).
right .. jaydens 18months (nearly) do you think now hes walking properly i should get the potty training done now and are boys easier then girls .. as zoes was troublesome .. well actually still is x
I have a friend who was really worried about potty training her son because both her daughters had been really difficult and she'd heard boys were worse but he was actually the easiest.

I haven't updated much on Charlotte as she's going through a really naughty phase.
    ...
She's been really naughty over the weekend and got sent to her room yesterday afternoon and when I went up to check, she'd put herself to bed and was fast asleep! I'm wondering if her bed time needs to be earlier as I mentioned it to my Mam and sometimes she asks to go to bed on a morning at their house. She currently goes to bed between 7.30-8pm and is up around 7am. Going to try moving bedtime forward this week and see what happens.
That sounds very stressful. I wonder if starting nursery means she gets more tired and needs more sleep? My friend's children seem to get very tired from nursery. (And Alice is defintiely much worse behaved when she is tired - she sometimes even sends herself to bed when she's been naughty because she knows she's tired.)

Update on Caitlyn: She's now walking and running, says 'mum' to get my attention, gives a kiss when you ask, and has 12 teeth :) She helps me empty the washer and dryer, and now likes to hold on to the hoover whilst I'm hoovering - which means it now takes half an hour instead of 10 mins!

Oh no for your husband and your travel plans SS :( Would it be better that you went or stayed as husband is ill?

Well done Finn :T:T No point in crawling if it's just something to do before you walk!

DS has a fever and a headache this morning so is staying off school :(

    Morning!

Sorry to hear about OH and the flight SS. Safe journey if you do get away xx

I think you could be right with the tired thing Susan. They're on the go all the time at nursery and they have a big outdoor play area with climbing frames and stuff that I know she plays on a lot. She comes home with a mucky bum off the slide :D

School is off today due to the weather, but will try the early bed time tonight and see how she goes.

We've had more snow overnight and it's still snowing now. We've had really loud and bright thunder and lightening too, which was weird in the middle of a blizzard.

The snow is about a foot deep on the platforms on our climbing frame now:

    Stay safe everyone xx
Here I go again on my own....

Becles I love the way the snow is sitting on the top of the swing. It's on all the washing lines and telephone wires here.

Haven't taken any pictures this morning but this was Saturday here:

OH measured this morning before it started snowing again and it was nearly 10".

We have an inch or so of snow here so not too bad really. DH has told me not to drive in the day, and he will go out for any stuff we need in the evening. Blimey, think he's had a brain transplant!

Mines been talking about stocking up on food in case the shops can't get deliveries. Considering aside from milk, butter and fresh fruit we could easily last over a month I'm wondering how bad he thinks it's going to be.

Still no snow for us! I'm a bit annoyed, as last year when everyone else got snow, there was loads out this direction :p.

I forgot to say we still only have 6 teeth...no new ones since September!

Molly sounds so cute - I'll bet she gives an award-winning smile.

Becles, hope Charlotte behaves better soon. Does she get any naps at nursery? It does sound like maybe she's just running herself ragged and under the negative influence of this other girl - bad combo, unfortunately.

Caitlyn sounds very cute in 'helping' her mommy. I can't wait until I have one of those. Especially in the kitchen - will be so much fun to cook together!!

  • I'm in the North East like Becles and Susan so bad snow here the schools are shut. Becles its terrifying the effect their friends can have but its usually just a short lived phase - I hope- my 6 yr old has just recently become a back answering stroppy nightmare don't know what to do with her she has never been this bad before. Nursery used to really wear her out and she needed more sleep 2 i would defo go earlier bedtime.

CAFC love reading Little L updates as he is similar age to A but like to know about u too. Love reading Gills posts on T to know what to look out for next. Haven't seen Michelle posting about the lovely Ayana much but i may just have missed her as i've not been on much.

Big vibes to all who need them x

  • Forgot to update on A - she is a little darling very happy - now weaned on purees, sleeping till 5ish when she wakes up 4 a feed. Sitting up 4 a little bit not very steady though. Does a wierd thing when lying on her back where she arches her back lifts of the floor and inches her feet up - she can travel quite far and in her cot I keep having to rescue her as she starts at the bottom and ends up wedged at the top. She has a massive bald patch where she has rubbed her hair off - shes like a monk lol. Still bf but going back to work in Jan (sob sob sob - no option have 2 go back) so will be giving her formula soon would like some advice/ other peoples experience on what brand/stage to give. On the odd occasion i've been away from her she has had ready to drink aptamil stage 1 - my god its expensive.
