A's school are holding a rainbow fair on Friday and they've asked for her to bring in red things for their stand to sell. I suggested cookies or cakes with red icing, but apparently they've got a separate baked goods stand. I really don't know what to give her, I can't think of anything, short of going out and robbing a circus lorry of red noses!
Erm HB pencils that are red, lip gloss, candles (assuming it for grown ups too)...
oh what about getting a big multi pack of red baubles?
Becles I'm having a bit of trouble with Chris's eating due the the stupidly early lunch time of 11:30 at nursery, he barely eats because its too close to Bfast (8:30ish) then is starving when I pick him up at 3pm so he wants a sandwich/toast then picks at tea at 5-6pm because he's not digested the snack yet *sigh*0 -

SS, it's prolly too late now but I just read that Edinburgh Airport is completely shut due to snow...hope you haven't set off already.
We were struggling to get the cases out to the taxi, who couldn't get near the hotel due to the slippery driveway and the other abandoned taxi blocking it, when I did a final check of the Easyjet website (had been refreshing obsessively for a cancellation) and it came up. Poor huffing and puffing taxi driver was dreadfully unimpressed that he had to help hump it all back down againBut he did get another fare - was interesting really as we poached him from a couple whose flight was cancelled early, and then we gave him to a woman whose flight's at 6pm but she wanted to be sure to get there. I'm a bit
though cause we bought loads of books and then sent them by road courier. they'll probably arrive before we do, next available flight was Friday  Anyone not snowed in wanting to meet us is welcome, although we're all but snowed in at the hotel. Took a three hour trip to Tesco (a five minute bus ride that took 20, followed by an epic half hour yomp the 200 metres to the door) and have enough nappies, baby food, sparkly water and pour-on-boiling-water type meals that we're set.

Afternoon,
Scruffy - you're in prayers (if that's ok?)
Hugs to everyone else.
Had snow dustings on Saturday and this morning. I'm getting lots of exercise today, the battery on DHs car is flat, we can't open the bonnet though as it needs new cables so he's gone to work in my car.
Still no cheque - email sent to solicitor, £1k of it is already due out due to missed payments and borrowings
Beccles we're having that with Katie, she is spending lots of time on the stairs at the moment, it is also the influence of a friend.
I wasn't around yesterday, as it was Church followed by Nativity rehearsal, home where Katie promptly fell asleep for two hours, then back to Church for our Christingle service. It was Katie's first Christingle as previous year either one of us has been ill, she loved it, I spent the time that she was holding a lit candle asking her not to blow it out!
Update: Her speech is amazing, from almost nothing a year ago to having conversation about a garage that is being rebuilt then coming out with, "Silly Grandma, it's not a garage it's a petrol station!" 5 minutes after the conversation was finished.
I actually got her within 4 feet of Father Christmas at a Craft Fair on Saturday, I think she twigged that if she saw him she'd get a present.
Katie can recognises the letter K as the start of her name and can count to 10 quite comfortably.
She loves to sing and dance, I get regularly seranaded with Jingle Bells, Twinkle Twinkle. She's beginning to master Away in the Manager and 12 Days of Christmas!

ok either the sheer weight of the snow on the roof has just slide off and gone "HOOOOMPH" outside the window or the guttering has collapsed under the weight and fallen off, taking some snow with it.....

I have the same thing with Keira right now too, she won't listen or chooses not too. Just simple silly things like I'll tell her to stop kicking her legs off the sofa (when she's lying down on the floor) as she is wearing shoes and might damage the sofa, and plus, it's just annoying, I hate repetitive things, she'll shout "SORRY!" (says it on autopilot I'm sure) and within 2 secs she's doing it again.
I'll tell her to be quiet because I'm on the phone, she'll start being lairy again, I'll say "KEIRA!" she'll say "SORRY!" X 5043844 times
I don't have any behaviour issues from her friends thankfully, most kids at the nursery seem to want to be her friend, so they are probs all going home telling their parents that jeans are ugly, and oh oh oh she does this highly annoying thing, she wants you to play pretend with her, so I do, but then she gives me the dialouge, and if I say something that's not how it goes, she is like "No you have to say no to that" and I said "But I wanna say yes" - "well you can't!!!" and gets right stroppy if you don't pretend her way.
Murrrrrrrgh. She has a barking cough, again. Thankfully it's inservice days here today and tomoz.
Keira's new song is Frere Jacques, when i picked her up last week she was serenading the class with it, least she aint shy and timid like I was at being center of attention, in fact, Im sure she thrives on it, Miss vain so she is0
