That sounds like Alice sometimes - you speak to her and you know she's heard but it doesn't seem to register in her mind. We've just started making her get dressed/undressed on a bath mat because she'll do things like keep running wildly round her room while you're trying to help her no matter how many times she's been told to stand still. I think it's worked because it makes the instruction more concrete.
I found with Aimee if it was an instruction you wanted her to follow you had to make her repeat back to you what you'd just asked to get it to "stick" Even now though I find myself repeating everything 4 times until I end up just shouting...

or what bout making some salt dough decs with red colouring in the dough?
I think food colouring doesn't work so well, it gets lost a bit in the baking... But red poster paint once they've cooled would work fine :)

I just got Aimee's little babyborn buggy out of the shed for Caitlyn to play with, she loves it! She stuck Upsy Daisy in it and has been zipping in and out of the living room all morning... Making little fake snoring noises too lol...

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Ha I like the sleeping bag idea i was considering something similar.

Love the rice photo just doing purees atm but planning on letting her help herself to stuff soon.

CAFC weaning is fun but the nappies are most definately NOT.

Wow i marvel at your creativity ladies

That does work with some things although sometimes I think it's remaining focussed on what she is/isn't supposed to do rather than not realizing which could be another reason why the mat works for keeping her still because it reminds her.

Maybe L just doesnt like baby rice then, he gets a right face on.... any other purees which are a good first time food?

And should i wait till he can sit up unaided perfectly for a set period of time like 10 mins or something...
He sort of can but ends up slowly bending himself over to his feet :rotfl:

  • CAFC - Neither of mine particularly liked baby rice. I quickly went from that to baby porridge which went down a lot better. Freddie adores his weetabix now!

Have you ever tried baby rice yourself? No wonder babies don't like - it's yuck!! :p:p I try to only give him stuff I would actually like eating myself (minus salt, of course).

Lovely photos :) and so so lovely hearing what all these littlies are upto :)

I am trying to video T talking to me but my memory card is full! Argh! I was also trying to record him before discreetly with the camera by my side and I ended up recording what was on TV LOL

Cafc weaning scares me too :( its weird as I was going to try it earlier than 6 months with T as he is so greedy but I kinda don't wana do it early anymore (plus it will annoy MIL as she thinks T should be weaned by now!)

OH brought in the xmas decs box last night and I was hoping to get the house decorated before he came home but the silly moo has brought in the wrong box, men eh!!

We now have a dishwasher! but I keep getting confused, its where the fridge used to be so now I keep trying to put the milk into the dishwasher, and I also keep washing stuff up forgetting thats what the dishwasher is for LOL

We get kisses here too, but sometimes I think Henry thinks the wider he opens his mouth, the better the kiss. It is cute though.

Lily kisses herself in the mirror or the picture we have of her all the time. She also thinks that a kiss makes thing better..
When we tell her "No" she will come over and kiss us, or she will kiss me and then pull my hair :rotfl:

This is Lily in her new hat (and it may look like a boys hat but it keeps her head warm so i dont mind :p)
