krystal what about adapting this to what you have http://www.jamieoliver.com/foodwise/article-view.php?id=2112 no mince required ;)
I think I have that recipe in one of his books... I do another one that has penne and aubergine... Tbh, I think the reason I'm not that fussed on the moussaka is because I'm not really that keen on great chunks of aubergine... I like the penne recipe because it all goes smooshy and tastes like the tomatoes... I could just make a tonne of that up and freeze some I suppose...

Krystal, do you have pasta sauce and cheese? Slice the aubergine and grill it (brushing it with oil is nice), then layer it with pasta sauce and mozzarella cheese and bake in the oven for a bit. Serve over spaghetti.
Mozzarella is a rareity in this house, we only buy it for specific things lol...
Afternoon all, seems like a lot of us have had a stressful night. T and I are both ill, we both have colds and T has had diarrhea for a couple of days and I have acquired an upset tummy this morning, just puked up my brekkie I had at 8 - can't keep anything in my tummy. I am bfing at the mo, should i continue as worried may dry up or I may get dehydrated, any advice welcome thanks!
I was just going to say what Susan did, small frequent sips are more likely to stay down than big mouthfulls... Do you have any ice lollies in you could suck on too? Keep yourself hydrated first, worry about eating later... Keep bfing as much as you are able... Hope you feel better soon :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • thanks ss and sami, just had a sip of water made me feel sick! DH is coming home as can't cope with looking after him on my own today. He does/can take a bottle and my DH usually gives him the last feed for the night, but he was unsettled last night and DH said he wouldn't take the formula last night so was bfing him last night - think as he is ill wants the comfort of mummy too. T is currently asleep on me, need to transfer him so i can lie down.

Any cheese will do Krystal. I like mozzarella because it feels traditional and is stringy.

The only job I've specifically never done when Alice is around is ironing because I'm scared of a nasty accident. My mum gave her a toy iron though and she seems to know what it is for and how to use it - we are mystified as to how she knows.

I was ironing when James was little. He was on the floor and jumped up and grabbed the ironing board as I was moving the iron on something and before I could stop myself, I ironed his fingers :o It wasn't too bad - just scabby fingers ends and it's left no mark, but I felt terrible at the time.

I normally iron in here if Charlotte is around and stick something on iPlayer for her to watch, and we chat about it while I iron.

She helps with most household chores. I normally give her a spare cloth and she wipes things, or she follows me around with her toy hoover. She can load the washing machine, put detergent in, and switch it onto the correct cycle, which impressed my Dad as he can't do that :D
Here I go again on my own....

    Anyone got a Calpol one?

The out of hours doctors here use the calpol ones, i was going to buy one but i hate spending that much money :o

We just went into town to collect my parcel, and then we realised i forgot to bring Lilys milk with me and she was due to have it.

I keep forgetting more things lately and its really bugging me.

Question for those whose babies have Eczema:
Lilys eczema was getting alot better, hardly any break outs at all.
Now suddenly she is covered it in, her arms are so rough and red.

I was thinking, it has appeared since i have been sharing my breakfast with her. Which has cows milk in.
I was under the impression that they could have small amounts of cows milk over 6 months?

Could she be lactose intolerant? Or am i over thinking things?

My brother was lactose intolerant and his showed up through eczema.

She sounds very similar to Alice. I have to watch Alice with "washing up" because she'll mix all the clean and dity things up in the scabby old water.
Lol, has she been taking tips from Idris

Speaking of Idris, I hate him, he's been texting me crap about wanting to get back together all day, I said no, he knows I don't want too, then I just know he's going to come and home and start crying in my face and I honestly don't need the stress of it, no wonder my hair chuffin' falls out with his aggro.

EA, lactose intolorance generally gives a bloated tummy, very bad wind, mucky nappies, or in kids without nappies they often have accidents. Bad breath is another sign. Ben got bad tummy cramps.
Too many children, too little time!!!

Hello all, hope youre ok. I have read but my head exploded around the point where threads were being mixed...

A is poorly. :( Was up until 6 am with her after she woke up at 1am crying and moaning. She wouldnt settle so took her downstairs. Wouldnt let me put her down so I couldnt even lie with her, just had to cuddle her all the time. Then she projectile vomited her milk about 3 times. :( DH was asleep upstairs so had to strip the sofa, A and me because of all the sick. Thought she was settling so took her up, as I was getting her a fresh set of clothes, she threw up all over me again- just a watery consistency. Had to wake DH to get her cleaned down.

She's still very moany but no sickness so far and shes managed around 3 decent feeds, although she's probably passed water once or twice since last night- need to keep an eye on that. Her bowels are ok.

Im shattered and very upset by it all as she's never really been ill before. She's been napping this past hour, but only if im holding her, she cries if I put her down so managed about 2 hours sleep since last night.

Not even managed to have a shower! :O :(:'( Can't bath A properly either.

I have pics to upload but I dont think there are any recent ones x

I think the boxing ones were most recent - very cute.

When I was little I did wish I had a 'H' because I thought it was posher. :rotfl:

SS I first thought i'm so disorganised as we don't have a routine really, but written down, I suppose we do a little.

7.00 Get up and have my first cuppa. Give V milk if she's awake.
7.15 Get Joe up, showered, dressed.
    7.45 Get L up. Feed L & J, And V if she's up.
8.00 J goes to school. I get V dressed then I can get a shower
and L will get dressed and entertain V.
8.30 Do L's hair then kick her out to school if she's biking it, or take
    her to school.
8.45 Decide what needs doing that day, which pretty much always
includes, make beds, empty dishwasher, washing machine and
    tumble dryer from last night.
    Maybe prepare tea.
Ironing twice a week (tut-tut you naughty non-ironing ladies).

    12.30 Make lunch for V & Me.

1.00 Hopefully the afternoons are free to walk the dog/play/go
somewhere fun and very occasionally she'll nap.
3.00 Walk to school to get L.
3.20 Leg it back from school to be here in time for Joe.
3.30 Go through school bags for begging letters, empty J's lunch
    bag, check homework and stuff.
4.00 Make J's lunch whilst making childrens dinner.
    4.30 Feed J, L & V.
    5.00 Load dishwasher.
6.00 Decide who needs bathing/showering, get V into pyjamas.
7.00 Get V to bed. Tidy up living room and probably hoover again.
7.30 Get J into pyjamas, send L to get into hers.
    8.00 Get J & L to bed.
8.30 Feed me (and OH if he's here)
9.00 Load dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, tumble dryer.

Although this is all very changable depending on OH's shifts, whether we're fetching and carrying L to/from afterschool stuff.
