thanks sparkle - its been ages since I entered anything, let alone win. I'm hoping that I might be able to swap them as the reason I recognised the picture is becuse I have them and use them everyday :D Perhaps that's a little greedy of me though - if its not possible I think my sister would love them. :D

Heating man been and gone, baby laundry in (although I forgot I meant to leave it till Stinky was out of her jammies), nappies all washed, dried, put together and put away, kitchen put back together after heating man moved everything to get to the boiler, baby up and "given lunch" (she's had three spoons of yoghurt and five of spatzle :( ), I'm shovelling mine in now while she complains about something. Not bad...

SAHM mummies, what kind of a timetable do you have? I realise that the above list reads much like that of someone who isn't also working an outside job but at the moment I'm tied to my computer because I need to be instantly available when someone emails me. I was thinking that this might be good for us:

Husband gets up with Beastie, Mama has a bit of a bonus snooze
    Mama up, Husband leaves
Baby plays independently while Mama wakes up with tea/catches up on internet
Baby naps, Mama does household tasks
    Lunch
Afternoon activity of some kind (playtime, park time, errands, baby date, out and about)
    Snack
    Nap
    Playing at home
    Husband home

Is that how people do it?

Edit: MacSmiler, Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat, do you know anyone who'd like to weigh him? ;)

Maz - I use a braun ear thermometer. Its pretty good. But we don't use it that much. It cost about £35 I think - we bought it in state of panic when she was ill the first time (about 2-3 months old) so a better model/bargain was probably to be found, but its serving us well at the moment. hope you don't need it because they are ill :(

Thanks Rmac and others... no its just William had a temp with teeth yesterday at nursery and its hard to use the one I have

So thought if I get a different one it will be easier to check the temps thats all.... in which case, has anyone seen them on offer anywhere?
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

FWIW, not much as our baby is over 2 and our SAHM is 32 weeks pregnant, but the difference from that routine for us is that E takes only one nap, much later - around 2pm typically - so mid-late morning is when there is activity and going out, and then nap time is the household tasks in the afternoons. Then snack time comes after the nap. Otherwise looks pretty close.

SS I am basically a stay at home mum, (I work but its for myself and basically fits in around the children)

    But my day goes ...

Get up with J & L make them breakfast get them seated and then go make OH his brekkie

OH gets up plays with children and has breakfast

8am OH leaves for work and takes J to my brothers who takes J to school for me (( J goes to school in a different town and I am too lazy to learn to drive but I am going to pass my test next year - she hopes))

I do dishes, kitchen and washing and then usually cook evening meal while L 'helps'

Play with L and then take dogs for walk

Catch up with emails/pay bills/ write cheques and letter while L plays alone

    Lunch

Play with L usually something like drawing/painting/playdough or baking

    L goes for nap

I use gym equipment and take a shower and package any parcels for post office

L wakes up we walk through town go to the post office and then we go for bus to get J

Pick up J visit the park and go visit at mums house til OH finishes work t 4pm and collects us on his way past

Get home feed everyone do homework with J

Thats about it on a day when we dont go out.

ETA L doesnt have set snack times we just fit it in around what we are doing and now she is getting older she will ask for things as she wants them.

My only key difference (aside from the fact that obviously everyone has different orders and timings) is that I have always deliberately done some of the household tasks while Alice is around. This is a) so that I'm not running round like a mad thing when she's not arouns, b) so that she learns how to do things by seeing me do them and c) so that she doesn't think everything is just done my the fairies or something but is aware of what things have to be done.

I do have four alternative daily schedules (long/short morning or afternoon outings) to try and make sure I always fit in the essentials. Even though in practice I follow them quite loosely and tend to miss out certain things quite often I do find them helpful.

    Thanks Ticklepenny.

Thank you everyone who shared their routines too. Susan, that's a good point. I like to do fun chores with Molly around - yesterday she helped me make the Christmas cake, we have a nut chopper jar where you press the lid and the nuts get chopped and she chopped everything (Husband was weeping like a girl, that particular implement was the first thing he used to help in the kitchen too :) ) but I normally do the dull stuff when she's not looking.
