Maz - we use a braun in ear thermometer, there not very cheap but we got ours when they had £10 0ff, you have to buy hygene covers for them too, but they are super quick and accurate and can store temps for if your monitoring a fever or something.

Thanks for all those sympathising with Ts bad sleeping, the problem we have is she doesnt so much wake up crying as wakes up and crawls to the other end of the cot and bashes her head on the cot! Also now she can sit up I find her sitting up alot. Doesnt matter if I use a blanket, sleeping bag or warmer sleep suit she still does it! I feed her lying down so I can doze but I get uncomfy lying on my side for long periods and there isnt roomto do it any other way. The nights when she nods off and goes back in her cot arent so bad, but some nights she wont go back without waking or does but for less than an hour. Oh and the OH snoring isnt helping either.

What thermometers do you use... I have a cheapy tesco one but think I should get a better one for the boys like an ear type one?
I have an in ear one that I've had since Aimee was a baby, there have been many times when I've been really glad I have it... Personally I think they're an essential, but there's probably others who have got by fine without one...

    Morning.

R.mac, bit of a random prize, but it could be the start of a winning streak.

Madam was very grouchy last night, lots of crying, which isn't generally like her. She woke up whinging too, but we've had about 5 huge poos since then, so I'm guessing that was the problem. I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary though, so not sure what it was. She very nearly got daddy with one though, after weeing on herself, whilst I'd gone to get her a clean outfit.

Krystal - I hope C is okay, enjoy your cuddles xx
We had a little bit of singing... But then she remembered and it turned into a moan lol...

Glad B had a better night, maybe a couple of nights going down well might break the cycle and he can go back to his longer naps :)

Som, do you feed her everytime she wakes? It sounds like 60-90 mins is her sleep cycle length and she's not able to settle herself back into a new cycle when she wakes...

    Love it, MacSmiler.

What sort of thinker is your husband? Mine's very logical, so I find that explaining his ideas in terms of their consequences versus my ideas in terms of their much better consequences makes it easier for him to understand me. My minion needs an example or an analogy to get my point across, and so I explain things differently depending on what sort of thinker I'm talking to.

Does anyone know what the most over the top adorable Santa's Grotto in Edinburgh is and if one has to get tickets?

    Also:

Scottish ladies, I was thinking Tuesday 23rd or Wednesday 24th for an Edinburgh meet-SS-the-builder. Anyone?

so I htought I'd moan here instead. I just wish I knew a practical way forward/illustrate my point to DH......I am of course the one who is right:D (though he didn't even like my compromise options :o)

Of course you are the one who is right, you're a Mum. Mums are always right. :p

Is your OH a stubborn B like mine? I hate when things we disagree on come up (thankfully there isn't many), but he's always convinced he's right when I know I am, obviously.

Well I learned yesterday that the apple really does not fall from the tree. Joe seems to have mastered the art of faking being sick. Learned from his Dad. Joe moaned he wasn't well yesterday morning, but I sent him to school. School phoned at 3pm said he was sick and could I got get him. Cue me feeling like v bad mummy. Got him home, told him to go get in pj's and bed, when i went up he's still in school uniform and playing with Lego. No, no, no. An hour later he came down, I feel better can I go outside. No, no, no again. Another hour later, i'm hungry can I have toast?. "rolls-eyes"
Needless to day he is at school today.
