Some moneysaving advice now please ladies (shock!)
I am supposed to be going to a wedding next Saturday with DH and DS.
Would you bother buying a suit for K or would it be a complete waste of money? I'm thinking it would be a waste of cash as if he throws up (which there is a good chance of as he has his jabs next Wed) but they do look cute!
Also, how long would you stay for? The wedding is at 11, and the meal is at 1:30. Would you leave after the meal? Bearing in mind jabs on Wed and little rosy probably teething cheeks?:jHappily Married 12/09/09:j:jDS1 born 22/08/10 7lb 6oz:j

We have this bouncer:

I wouldn't recommend it! The bar is very flimsy that the toys are on and it's really hard to get into the right position once they start growing!:jHappily Married 12/09/09:j:jDS1 born 22/08/10 7lb 6oz:j

In H&M they had babygros which were coloured like tuxedos with a bowtie under the neck for about £8-10, saw them the other day and thought they'd be perfect for a wedding0

TNV- i'd have a few lovley outfits just in case and stay as long as you feel is ok. babies are surprisingly adaptive to new surroundings and LO maynot have any illness after the jabs- kian never has (though its the biggies today)'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Weird coincidence, we had a wedding at the beginning of September just 9 days after Maddys MMR. I don't tend to but new clothes for that sort of thing unless I suppose it was close family. Maybe just a shirt. As for staying, play it by ear. The ceremony we went to was at 4pm, then back to the boat club which was quite small so tricky with her running around. We left at 8pm as it was getting more lively! Although I did give her a dose of calpol before the ceremony as she had a bit of a temperature.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
thanks everyone
its been a tough few years. We had originally £19k in debts (not counting mortgage) and we have managed to pay it all off in 4 1/2 years. Good chunk got paid off early when we successfully reclaimed bank charges.
we're not mega flush or anything now but we can afford to have the odd meal out as a family or shock horror....me and DH could even go out for a nightand little treats here and there. it will be nice not to have to count up every penny each month etc
