morning all...may I join in please?
(feel like a kid going to big school)
Alex was 4 weeks old yesterday (where on earth did that time go?!) really must take more pics, he is changing almost daily.
How is it that on tuesday, most of his "newborn/first size" fitted just right, and today, 0-3 fits, and the newborn doesnt...in the space of 2 days...I ask you (please tell me it gets better!) so glad we bought so many different sizes!
Also, we are going to get him a bouncy chair...I have a mothercare gift card (£15) so will probs use that to put towards it. Any good recommendations?

hi mutley!
as they are only in the bouncy chair for at most 6 months i'd get the one nearest to the £15 gift voucher you have'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
ah..okies..will do..thought they used them for longer...but thankies!0

Hi Threemutts! It's quite terrifying the speed with which they grow isn't it? How is little man doing with the BFing, have you managed to get him to take the other side?
Yay, madam just rolled onto her tummy! She was trying to escape from her nappy by wriggling onto her side and over she went. She's currently blowing spit bubbles and singing to herself.

once they can sit themselves up (approx 6 months) they can topple over in the bouncers.
although i would recommend this one we have which is a baby-toddler rocker/chair http://www.mothercare.com/Precious-Planet-Newborn-Toddler-Rocker/dp/B0034JBZT4/sr=1-58/qid=1289474480/ref=sr_1_58/280-5158260-7277121?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42764041&mcb=core
it is fab. Kian loves it and will do a newborn easily, you can have it as a rocker or staionary and is brill. It is great now for keeping Kian amused when i'm doing some work round the house and he has his toast in it every morning.

Jillie, we've got something similar http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Link-a-Doos-Infant-to-Toddler-Rocker/dp/B000E5Q3OI
It's good as it means that Sophie can have her own special little chair as she gets bigger. You can switch the toys around too as they're just velcroed on, so you can put your own stuff on there.
Bah, stupid Tesco. I've been trying to check if I have some outstanding vouchers, as I didn't get some after we bought the fridge and washing machine when we moved here, but I can't remember my log on details. I've requested it several times, and they say 'email has been despatched' , but it hasn't. I rather suspect that OH mum opened the letter, as my postal details were for her address, as she used to open my mail quite frequently - not in a nasty way, just a confused blind old lady way.

Hi Mutleys. We had the same bouncer from when I was a baby, so probably not much use to you, but I'd agree that it probably isn't worth spending too much on one

we have the Fisher Price Link-a-doos infant to toddler rocker which we get on well with. My 4 month old sits quite happily in it every morning while I have a shower and now that he's sitting up a bit better, it has an adjustable back to keep him more upright which he loves.0

we have a slightly earlier version of the rocker i linked to. what i like is that it collapses down so when he goes to PIL when i work, his chair goes too. and despite it being plastic it is very sturdy. love it
....oh and when Kian is in bed at night it is the perfect height for a foot rest for me
