  • Hey,

Nappy Cream - We just started using Metanium here - brilliant stuff and in the week we've been using it, I think I've only squeezed the tube to get some out once. Just a tiny dab on your finger is enough so very MSE!

Scans - I had one extra, just to check that the little monkey had righted himself and stopped being breech (he had, thankfully)

We're full of the cold this morning (me and him). Feel a little bit bad as it's me that's given him it (though sure he gave me it about 5 weeks ago and I just haven't shifted it!) but am being suitably punished by having to extract goo from his nose every 5 minutes - bleurgh. I suspect we will both be spending the day in our respective comfy chairs watching daytime rubbish. Poor boy has a hospital appointment for his port wine stain tomorrow too - he's none the wiser but I'm strangely nervous!

my sitting room is a tip!!
kian has emptied his entire toy box...apparently the DVD's needed to go in the box instead. His books that are in the sitting room are all over the place although he has now pushed his chair to where he wants it and is sat in it playing with his car.

his new thing we noticed last night is when he hads a book he 'reads out loud' a la 'ba da la etc' then stops turns the page and does it again. very cute

  • Operation find iggle piggles blanket in the rain was a failure. I must have looked a right nutter rooting round in all the bushes whenever there was a red crisp packet or something in there. Mind you not as much as I did walking out there in the night in my pjs ;)

  • jillie - thats very sweet, T has a couple of books he goes to but mainly to eat! Except one of the bookstart ones which has a mirror in the back of it and he smiles a lot at that one.

Which reminds me - people talking about the local library rhyme groups, it's the only group we've regularly been to and it's fab. Can't recommend them enough. They aren't at all cliquey like some other groups I've been to.

Husband was working from home those days so just took creative breaks as needed. Here it's customary to get an ultrasound at every regular appointment to measure foetal growth and so on. Nobody here bothers with fundal height measurements; it's all ultrasounds.
My scans were at the hospital and the whole thing generally took so long that he had to take a half day off each time. Regular appointments were better as they were shorter and just round the corner so he could get away with doing a short job so lost less. A couple of times I even managed a regular appointment by myself but I could never have managed the hospital.

  • morning everyone - aggravating morning here, but hopefully ok now.
They told me that F would be larger than normal, and my first was 8 lb 12oz, but when he came out F was only 7lb 4oz and the midwife that delivered him reckoned they got their dates wrong and he was at least 2 weeks earlier than they had thought.

Aww ladybird, hope you find Iggle Piggle soon! I think your SS knows what to buy Izzy now. ;)

I also recommend library rhyme time session - they're fab.

jillie - Finn loves pulling the DVDs off the shelves...I think it's a baby thing as our friend's baby did the same when he was younger. Today he has discovered the shopping bag full of toilet paper rolls we keep as firestarters. Oops! :p

Lily loves pulling DHs game pile over. She moves them about and if we put them back she gets annoyed haha.

She also loves moving the broadband box slightly to the left...not sure why.
  • Ta Aless - luckily it is only his blanket, and luckily he is quite happy to sleep under a muslin instead ;)

its all exploring the new things they can do. i dont mind it as i discovered the more you move him away the more he wants to do it, so i leave him to it as he eventually goes to play with something else. as long as its not somehting dangerous obv, I am dreading it though if he tries to put something in the DVD player or Wii...
