My second baby was all of 2oz heavier than the first - labour was quicker but not fast (about 8 hours)
Of course third baby was then 2lb 1oz heavier than the second (labour about 6 hours)
Fourth baby then 11oz lighter than the 3rd (labour less than 2 hours)

Pushing tends to be quicker with subsequent babies

Charlotte is going through a phase like that where she just cries out for no apparent reason. Sometimes she can drop back off herself but sometimes she needs one of us to tuck her back in again.
Alice has been like this recently too. Last night she shouted something a few times and then went back to sleep. I presume it's related to dreams she's having as when her room was being decorated in January and she was in with us she was shouting to Christopher Robin in her sleep.

You should all move to Germany. I got one at 5 weeks, 7 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 13 weeks, 16 weeks, 20 weeks, 24 weeks, 28 weeks, 30 weeks, 32 weeks, 36 weeks, 37 weeks, 38 weeks, 39 weeks, 40 weeks and 40+3. I was sick of the walk to the doctor's office!
How time consuming must that have been! That would have cost us a fortune in OH's time off work. I had one when I was admitted for hyperemesis, the standard ones and two extras at twenty something and thirty something. One time between them running late and waiting for Alice to move during the scan I didn't get out till over an hour after the appointment time.

Everyone is putting fear into me with this one statement "2nd babies are bigger and come out quicker"

My 2nd was the exact same weight as my first. Number 3 was 5.5oz bigger but she was 6 days late - first two were on time so I imagine she would have been a similar weight.
Labour 2nd time was quicker but pushing stage was longer.
Labour 3rd time is all a blur - I think I had too much gas & air.
We're waiting for the HV to come and do E's 6 wk check and weigh her. Really ought to go and hoover up/

I blame you lot for the fact that it's 10am and I've gotten nothing done besides catch-up on the thread. :p

I had 1 extra scan but that's because my dates were off and I had to go back to get the nuchal measurements done.

Husband was working from home those days so just took creative breaks as needed. Here it's customary to get an ultrasound at every regular appointment to measure foetal growth and so on. Nobody here bothers with fundal height measurements; it's all ultrasounds.
