  • Congrats Always! :D

Starwberrypud - I'm with aless, we went cold turkey about the same age, 5/6months. I think we had 2 or 3 nights with wake-ups, but we were having these anyway, and then things got better. We started on a friday night so the wost eve/days were at weekend and I just rubbed/patted his back until he went back off to sleep.

Have you got Turbo Lister? It's very  at first but once you've got used to it and done all your default settings it's loads quicker for listing.

I do, I just can't be bothered with the whole selling thing right now. It seems like so much effort...

I do have an xbox 360 to list that should get me about £25 though :D

Ah, that would make sense Susan... Thank you :)

Aimee started growing teeth at the same time as Caitlyn... It was slightly surreal to have a teething 6 year old...

Ooh, I hit send and half a million posts showed up... Random...

I've been reading all the MIL woes and feeling quite smug as apart from the constant lack of hair comments I've been on very good terms with my MIL recently. However last night I sent both her and my Mum an email asking for help with my basket and I've got this response from MIL "It is a really good idea, it would be nice if we each had one and then when Thomas visits, it would be something else for him to play with"

I'm feeling (inexplicably?) now. I don't want her to do a treasure basket and I can't make mine (cheaply) or keep it evolving without help from them. I want to tell her not to do one and give her some good reasons why. The only ones I can think of is that he needs to access it regularly, it should be a calming experience in a familiar environment and with no adult interaction. (therefore totally unsuitable for grandparents house where someone will interact with him ALL the time) Am I being totally unreasonable?
Perhaps you could explain somehow that it is a non-interaction thing and that it would be better to have things at their house which encourage interaction with them and help to build their relationship rather than something for him to do by himself which he could just as easily do at home.

This is why I end up with multiple boxes of stuff before I get round to listing them.

Tia I'm uploading 15 items on the 11th so it's done and hopefully paid for before we leave for Edinburgh and I can post from the UK.

Gill, I like the way Susan phrased it :)

Always i have 13 months between my oldest 2 and the same again between my youngest 2! i find changing nappies at the same time, feeding at the same time and as soon as you get up dress them before going downstairs. Its the silly little things that make it work, also a sling and a buggy may be easier for transport?

Tia how is Miss A today?

We had charlies meeting today and i am not impressed that a lot of the work that was meant to happen has not, i think they could tell i wasnt too pleased :( They have him a 5 afternoon place at the local nursery from the 20th Jan, the day after his 3rd birthday :)
I have spoken to SIL's MIL as she works for social services to pick her brains as to what we can do now so she will be meeting up with me next week to see what she can arrange and push forward for us :)

Oh the link to the phones i put up last week now has 20% off!!!

Tia what sort of things do you have?
What's for you won't go past you
