Hi Jillie, welcome back :) Glad you had a lovely hol.

Redstar - that's awful :( When do you go back? What hours did you want and what is she making you do?

My hours are 8.30 - 5pm with an hour lunch. I had asked to do 7.45am - 3.45pm with half an hour lunch. :(
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

    Which nice Hugo Boss one?!?!
    :)

I can't remember! :o But I will tell you in the morning when I order some for sister. It was a ladies and a mens Hugo Boss one, both half price for a week from tomorrow. It smelt nice anyway.

Always V has been in a bed since 18/19 months when she learnt to climb out. It has been a bit of a nightmare but we have a gate on the door so she can't go wandering around at night.

However, I haven't mentioned this yet, and will whisper so V doesn't hear me: For the past 6 nights, I've taken her up to bed, done half an hour of story, chatting, singing then left her and she's gone straight to sleep with no shouting at the gate. :D Don't tell her I told you all. ;)

We had a funny moment earlier. I'd nipped to the shop in the car, came back and went up to take V to bed.
About half an hour later, theres a knock on the front door and I hear OH answer and mumbling.
It was L''s friends Dad who was passing.
He said to OH 'Is that red citreon yours?'.
    OH: Yes, why?
Him : Did you mean to park it there?

I'd parked in my normal place, but somehow the automatic handbrake hadn't activated and it'd rolled back down the road and stopped, right in the middle, blocking the side road!
It's very lucky it hadn't rolled further into another car, or the other way into OH's car! :rotfl:

OH has just gone to work and i'm thinking I might go and start painting the kitchen.

  • Welcome back Jillie. Looks like you had a fab time.

Congratulations Always! I am still at the stage where getting pregnant again terrifies, and H is one next week :rotfl:. I suppose I'd better get over it at some point in the not so distant future. I'm very interested in what you find out about VBACs though, as I'd like to try for one but with certain parameters (like I wouldn't want to be induced- if I went over I'd want a section) and since my circumstances are very similar to yours, I will watch with interest.

  • Hello everyone,

How are you all. I have been keeping up a little on the other MSE but not on here much.

Work is SO busy ATM (which is not surprising seeing as I have spent the last 6 weeks doing 2.5 roles). I am literally not having time to lift my head from when I get into the office until when I leave. Part of me is enjoying it, part of me is building up to silly stress levels. And I still haven't been paid

We have a busy weekend coming up. Hubby and I are off to see Lee Mack on Thursday whilst MIL takes Benjamin out for neices birthday (they are going at 7pm so B will be late in bed on Thursday). Then on Friday (when Benjamin is always knackered anyway) we are going to other Nieces 21st party which will be a super-late night (hopefully Benjamin will go to sleep at some point during the night) and then on Saturday we have a 1st Birthday Party.

I keep telling myself to chill about it all but part of me is worried that I am going to end up with an overtired baby and a stressed mummy and daddy :o

Can you appeal and query in what way those hours stop you from being professional and customer focussed?

I know they can refuse requests but I thought there had to be valid business reasons.

I sent my email to MIL but now I feel a bit mean coz she was probably excited about doing one too :( I have suggested that she could make other toys for him using household items tho.
