Becles, I hope Charlotte feels better today, and all the other sicky babies and Mummies - including WM (I can't believe you are still under the weather) and Hammy's David.

Thanks NMS, feeling a better today, supported by decongestant tablets and paracetamol. So back in work. Haven't been knocked down like that by sickness for a long time. Have worked all morning (shock horror) as i've had to finish month end off for October. Lunch had been a healthy iced finger bun. Yum!

So pleased to log in and see good news of Amber.

Gym both of mine had/ have reflux. Joe was a projectiler. Alex was different as he was constantly sick, bringing milk up and was permenatly wet and soggy. He was on gaviscon and prescribed Enfamil reflux formula at my request. We have now completely stopped the gaviscon, but he is still on the formula. Now I have to psyche myself up to move away from the formula and towards cows milk. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Oh yes, and as I've just had 3 days off sick I can't possibly request time off tomorrow. So unfortunately I cannot come to meet all lovely mummies and babies and our little star Rhys. So sorry, but hope you all have a fab time. And you must let us know, if Sami gets there early as stated! ;)

    I got a B on my first assignment :j

We're not going out for playtime now, we had splashy bathtime instead (she was covered in purple fruity yoghurt) and now she's tired. So I'm off out to buy something nice for dessert. It'll either be balsamic strawberries or Toblerone mousse.

Argh crossposters. Good luck Tara, and WM I'm so glad you're getting a bit better.

Thanks WM, glad you're feeling better :) Did you find anything you could do to help before you were prescribed the formula? The gaviscon doesn't seem to have made any difference in the 2 days we've used it so far, so hoping to find something to help before we see the docs again. Or hoping that it magically disappears!

Lol Smartie boots points are like an addiction aren't they, bit like Tesco ones...or I'm just totally sad?! I think my check was at 10 weeks, maybe 11...pretty pointless, she might aswell have just outright asked if I thought I had PND, then sent me on my way!

    Thank you :D

Toberone mousse is super simple: melt a bar of Toblerone in a bowl, add a tub of marscapone, mix together and chill. Serve in teeny tiny portions because it'll coat your arteries if you let it.

No, sorry Gym. Alex was on the gaviscon from pretty early on, because I knew the signs from Joe. But he was still sick whilst on it. So I did a bit of internet research and requested the Enfamil reflux milk. And using them combined worked really well. But it was only after he was 12 months that i started to wean off the gaviscon. I also stopped all yogurts and dairy for a while too, as I do think he was intolerant, but he has now grown out of it.

Have you considered trying a staydown milk that you can buy over the counter. You could try that first. I have only found it in-store at Tesco and Asda. But you can get it online from Boots and other stores.

My postie has just been and brought me a letter from Npower saying they'd like to send me a payment! :T

Something to do with the consumer watchdog and changes to the way they charged for gas in 2007. It's only £55 but better in my pocket than theres! :money:

(ETA: Just searched and there's a thread about it - bonus!)
