  • Aww Som, hope nothing else goes wrong for you hun. I feel your pain with sleep deprivation. Lexi is 18 months old and apart from the nights I have spent away from her I havnt had a full nights sleep since she was born. Last night I was up with her about 6 times from 2am onwards
I go to bed every night wondering if tonight will be the night that she sleeps through??????
Would you have a chance to nap when T does? OH tells me to do this every morning before he goes to work. I cant do it though I see that as essential time to get things done that I cat get done with L around :(

  • Hi - sending hugs to CAFC and Som - sleep deprivation seems to make everything worse.
I would love to get an e-reader or Kindle at some time, because storing my books is a nightmare. I've had to sell lots of my books, because I don't have any room to keep them :(. Between Dan and me, we have 100s of books, most of them are in boxes in the loft. It's terrible - we have two little bookcases which don't even touch the amount of books we have. We gave up trying to put books in them, because there seemed to be so little point. Amelie's now got one of them and not even all of her books fit in it, and we keep dvds and videos in the other one. When we finally do get into our new house, I've told Dan that I want one of those huge bookcase/shelf things that you buy in blocks to take up one wall, so I can get my books out!

So glad to hear that Amber's getting better :)

Thanks for the Mura recco Som, I have my eye out on eBay for one locally.

Ah Som how poop, is the washer the landlords (i.e. will they fix it)?

EA, Guy has had diahorrea for a couple of days, spoke to the HV by chance yesterday and she said give it a few days before taking him to the docs.

Aless fingers crossed that Finn goes feed free tonight too :D

    Hammy your avvy is gorgeous.

CAFC I hope you get something sorted for Gordon soon :) & well done for sticking to your guns with your plan :)

    How was the scan EA?

Kitkat do you drive? Have you tried driving T around at the worst moments? I know people say it's making a rod for your own back but so are lots of things and if we're desperate Guy gets the 'car treatment' :) Kindof's Elliot had colic so she may have some tips too when she's next around. Yay for the £500 :D

    Aww 3, how cute!

I've just had a confirmation letter for Guy to see a paediatrician, the doc reckons he may have a reflux type problem. I'm not 100% convinced, I think he has a milk/wind problem, as food stays down fine, but I'd just like it sorted now. The doctor who referred him suggest I cut down his milk intake, given that he will only take about 300ml all day, and a lot of that comes back up, I can't see how I can cut it down? Anyone got any ideas on what I could feed him food wise to try and make up for what he's losing in milk? I feel really lost and not sure what to do and the appointment's not til December, that coupled with the Dr telling me that he's very thin has got me a little worried.

  • Tia - That's fabulous! I'm so pleased and relieved, and I'm sure you must be :).
SS - Thank-you for the update.
    3 - what a clever little girl.
Gym - no advice I'm afraid, but please don't panic too much - does he seem happy and healthy in himself? Has it just started? Is it worth perservering and just giving him more milk? Hopefully someone will come along who's a bit more knowledgeable than me.

Were having to chuck buckets of water down the loo for now too, its a bit yucky stinky, they came out to that once but needed parts and cant get back to us till Tuesday!

rmac your sisters LO sounds like he might have lactose intolerance too, I've heard it can be diarrhoea or constipation as symptoms, my doc kept brushing me off too. 12 days that is ridiculous poor little thing

she did wonder. But he hs no other signs at all and there is no history of it in our family. or her DH's family. in fact no allergies at all! :j

Rmac, not sure but it IS possible nothing is wrong, as Finn would go up to 2 wks between poos when he was small. Hope she gets it sorted either way, can she not see another GP?

Well, no feeds again last night! That's 2 in a row, so maybe not such a fluke after all? :D I won't get my hopes up though.

yeah - we did think that esp s it's common for BF babies. But he's mixed fed, and eatss for britain and the result after such a long time points toward it being constipation, rather than him just using all the nutrition ;)

Most of all - i think what worrying her is this feeling she can't shake. he gets very upset for 2-3 days (smetimes more) before he manages to produce anything. it just seems aa bit wrong that's all.

she keeps pushing for help and has an apt to see another doctor next week. thanks for your thoughts x
I've just discovered the bottom of the changing bag is all manky and mouldy. Time to go back to the old one for now. Seeing as potty training is on the horizon I'm not going to bother buying a new one, but I think it may be time to get a new handbag. I've been using the same one for about 4 years, so I deserve a new one that is big enough to carry wipes and a change of clothes around with me :)

I could have written this too - I fancy a nice brown leather bag ;):rotfl:
