hammy what do you write in them?
I have cried on a few occasions when the boys have chewed or ripped a bookI'm always telling Chris about children in the 3rd world who dream of having half as many books as him but I think it'll continue to go in one ear and out the other for a few more years before he understands
Probably, along with lots of other things you tell him

I underline things if I think they are interesting so I can easily find it again or I may make a note of something it reminds me of or I want to look at again later. I also turn the tops of the pages over  as I never have enough bookmarks :rotfl:
ETA (((HUGS))) sparkle, glad you feel better nowThe one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents:D

I'm just going to get an E-Reader. Solves all my problems and there will be less books around the house.
And, I'm pretending in my head that it's all MSE as they do free ebooks so I can read for free. Don't know if that will swing it for my DH though.:jHappily Married 12/09/09:j:jDS1 born 22/08/10 7lb 6oz:j

hammy - I do that with my brainy, academic books all the time, but not so much with anything else. After so many years in schools with library books, it took ages to get over that stigma of not writing in my own personal copies.
Postie just delivered me a great new Nuby cup/beaker. :T :T Thanks Gill!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
