gosh, hammy! Poor David just never catches a break :( sorry to see you guys up so early, too.

Rmac, not sure but it IS possible nothing is wrong, as Finn would go up to 2 wks between poos when he was small. Hope she gets it sorted either way, can she not see another GP?

Well, no feeds again last night! That's 2 in a row, so maybe not such a fluke after all? :D I won't get my hopes up though.

    Evening all

Thanks for comments about clean nappies.. we have had a dirty one since but nothing compared to what we were having, hopefully this is it coming out of his system.

I have had a terrible evening... I hate colic so so much :( Been on the phone to OH is tears begging him to come home, but its 3 hour drive so pointless.. I always thought that I would have 2 or 3 kids.. now I think I will stick with just the one I couldn't imagine going through this again :(

Also bit annoyed I got a new credit card 2 months ago and did a balance transfer, set up direct debit to pay 1st payment and so on and for some reason it didn't pay the payment due today, so now I have a charge and it takes 2 days for a new card payment to go through (tried to pay on my debit card tonight) so I will probably have more charges.

I totally know how you feel. First I had problems with bf-ing, then colic, then that went but we had reflux problems and he was being sick till he was about 14 months old. Then come the tantrums and terrible 2's. Some days the thought of having another baby makes me feel quite ill. I've had days when i've shouted at my hubby-that there is NO way i can go through this again! But then i have far more good days, which make me think yes i can do it! When Elliot was 6 months old, i sat down and realised i'd coped for 6 months! I then realised i can cope, i just need to remain calm and get through it.

I had a terrible day yesterday, Elliot was in a foul mood. I rang up my sister who came over to my moms with me. None of us could cheer him up, ive had a look and it does look like two more teeth are coming through-i thought he'd got all his teeth! He's had horrible nappies too yuk! I was totally suprised when he let me get him ready for bed last night, clean his teeth etc and he happily got into bed and went to sleep! no hassle after the crying we'd had all day! I sat down relieved.

It's play group today, so hopefully that will keep him happy for a couple of hours. And tea and toast for mommy :)

I have no idea how Tia is coping so well. I got scared out of my mind yesterday. D had his allergic reaction but continued to be unwell and his temperature kept on rising. I checked it at 6.30pm and it was 39.8  so we took him to see a doctor. He has an ear infection and is now on antibiotics. :(

I hope all your LO's had a good night!

Aww poor little man :( hope he feels better soon. xx

Sorry to hear that. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon and he feels better xx

Charlotte was sick again during the night but we managed to get her out of bed and into the toilet in time. She's not been sick any more and she feels better and has had some breakfast. Going to keep her off school though just in case.

Hope everyone has a good day xx
Here I go again on my own....
  • Hugs to all the poorly little ones :( There seem to be a lot about at the moment. Get better babies!

I've just discovered the bottom of the changing bag is all manky and mouldy. Time to go back to the old one for now. Seeing as potty training is on the horizon I'm not going to bother buying a new one, but I think it may be time to get a new handbag. I've been using the same one for about 4 years, so I deserve a new one that is big enough to carry wipes and a change of clothes around with me :)

HUGS for all the poorly kids/ babies (and their mummies) Hope they start to feel better soon.

Ladybird, you definately deserve a lovely new bag.

Maz  at the fire. Glad you're all ok though!

Urgh, another day sorting and pricing old books for OH sister for me. So over it now, but just as I was making headway with it all, another sister brings 25 boxes that she's stored in goodness knows where for the last 15 years. It's heartbreaking - so many are covered in mould and damp, even a (once gorgeous) Latin dictionary from 1700. Trouble is, she's a lazy moo that won't get out of bed until 11.

  • OMG Maz, how scary. I'm glad you all home safe and well.
Becles, I hope Charlotte feels better today, and all the other sicky babies and Mummies - including WM (I can't believe you are still under the weather) and Hammy's David.
KitKat you are doing an amazing job - I didn't have a colicy/sicky baby and I have times when I cried to OH. As MFD said they are only little babies for a short time, and you'll soon forget how bad it all was.

Fingers crossed be get more positive news from Tia! I'm still sending positive vibes for you and Amber!

Morning all, waiting again for news of Amber.

Kitkat, Molly only had a really bad episode once and I put earplugs in my ears, lay her face down across my knees in the middle of the bed and sang a soothing song over and over again while bouncing alternate knees until she fell asleep. My mother said it always worked on me and I was a very colicky baby - and the earplugs meant it wasn't as draining on me either :o

Gentle hugs for Charlotte and David and for WM.

_pale_ at the book abuse Bexta - is the dictionary printed just on paper or anything more robust? That's heartbreaking, books are weirdly holy to me in the way that I think people should treat them. There are ways to clean the mould off without damaging the outsides at least.

SS, books are like that to me too (technically I'm a librarian, but haven't worked officially in that area yet) The pages themself aren't too bad, but the calf skin binding is rotten and gross. I'm not going to deal with the dry mould ones though, as I really don't want Sophie around it.

Properly rotten? If it's just mould you can kill it with a tea tree oil solution sprayed on or diluted bleach also sprayed on. You're right not to do it around a small one though.

Would your SILs pay for professional restoration?
