Susan - MIL made a nice chutney with Green Tomatoes, she posted the recipe on FB so I'll go dig it out for you :)
I now have a hankering to watch Fried Green Tomatoes at The Whistle Stop Cafe, love that film!
Thanks - that would be good. Someone thought the frost wasn't going to be that bad so I need to use them now rather than waiting for them ripen.

I watched that film on holiday when I was pregnant and OH was cooking dinner. It was rather weird and random but not completely strange.

Maz has a spreadsheet where she keeps all the latest prices, hopefully she will pop in later.

MAZ - if you are around do you know where the best place for Active Fit size 5's is ATM?

I think Morrisons are doing the same deal as Tesco's of £7.50 for a Jumbo pack or 2 for £10 (selected tescos stores)

I know the Tescos deal finishes tomorrow but not sure when Morrisons finishes....

Lovely day off again today for doing jobs...:j

  • Afternoon everyone,

    Hope everyones well,

jasmines a snot bag today, well jake is too but i still sent him to school, felt a bit bad but cant keep him off everytime he gets a cold he'd never be there! he was running round the playground when he got there so obv not too ill! shes been so naughty recently, have just taken her for a walk and shes gone to sleep so catching up on here and gonna enter some comps, i won a koala teddy yesterday so ive got the bug now:p bruno thingy being sent when i dig out a suitable envelope, letterbox outside my house so i can just run out with it shortly.

not sure what millionaire shortbread is but i made some yummy chocolate cakes last week and let jasmine have one, omg i have never seen her so hyper, was quite funny to watch but  lol! to be honest im quite laid back about bad snacks, they have their fair share of fruit too though but generally dont mind if grandparents or whatever want to give them a snack as long as its not too close to mealtimes.

OH has his driving test on wednesday.. im worried for what this is going to do to my insurance costs if he passes lol!!

Apparently is is very upsetting that the numbers on Alice's blocks only go up to nine. The = sign works as 11 but apparently we "need" ten.

Thanks. I do know cilantro is coriander but I only found out a few months ago so used to think it was some American herb we didn't have.

Wilma - do you have any friends with a Costco card, i think they're still on offer in there, i'll check the costco thread if you want?

Susan - MIL used the lower amount of vinegar as per the note at the end of the recipe, and she didn't blend any she left it nice and chunky :)
