thats the table I want to cover and make into a seat. It's all beat up but sturdy and I love the legs and feet. Do you think velvet would work better?

    ETA, this from eBay?

I think velvet might be better Tia, although if you were interested in making it lilac you and I could talk on FB about some deep shimmery lilac shantung I have that I could put on the totally non-MSE FB fairy exchange (to which everyone is invited, of course - link on the first page in the post with all the links in).

I'm a bit the same way but was thinking how if you could ring and be all reasonable with him it might encourage him to respond the same way, plus it would be resolved much quicker.

btw loved your comment on FB earlier you articulated brilliantly what i was thinking!

I'm fine, just getting a bit fed up of only having the kids to talk to (OH has been at heathrow for 3wks without coming home at all) think I'm about to start running round screaming like they do!

I just had bovril on toast out of desparation, we have nothing in and I've spent all my money on Xmas gifts so am trying to avoid shops!

I get a bit like that - My friends can tell when I've not had much adult company as I tend to get verbal diarrhea for the first 20 mins or so:rotfl:

lovely - you can get pieces of foam from dunelm mill very reasonably priced, which would make a great 'cushion top' before you cover it the foam is a few inches think and can be trimmed to size with scissors.

I'm thinking of doing more decorating since LOs room was such a success - lso thinking purple as an accent colour!

Velvet would be easier to keep clean, but that looks very purple, rather than aubergine. I found many different shades so although it's nice that they aren't all the same some were too purple and looked odd. You may be better in a local market or fabric shop so you can see it first. (Hope you don't mind me saying. X)

MM if you would like some adult company (ooh er missus) and are free Thursday (or even Wednesday actually) I am free. You can even come and look at my lovely kitchen if you'd like! I'll be at ABC tomorrow but only for the first half hour (if I can make it on time) as I am off to see someone with some cakes at 10.30.

ABC is not on this week cos of half term, I'd love to come and look at your lovely kitchen though,

It would have to be Wednesday morning (the monster in law is having the little one on Thursday so Me and Millie can go to the pictures) and I will have both girls with me?

Hardly a question to ask a load of women, but blades, moulded or screw in studs on football boots?

Update: Yay - teddy has been found :j

Josh has got a desk in his bedroom with a keyboard shelf under the knee hole which is never used as he doesn't have a computer in his bedroom. She'd stuffed teddy in the shelf gap and he must have been wedged in there since yesterday morning, as she was playing in his room before we went out.
me thinks Teddy needs some kind of tracker/tag :rotfl:

Oh and if anyone see's any cheapo change mats then let me know I think I finally need to look at getting one for T now she's more mobile.
I think wilkos and home bargain have cheap ones, or I have the ikea one which was about £3 IIRC

Gill - How is T's skin now? Just a thought but he could be allergic to DB, I'd completely forgotten the reason we stopped using it and moved to Hydromol cream was that I was allergic to something in the DB and it made MY eczema worse! None of us have had any problems with the hydromol cream or oilatum cream (hydromol didn't clear Ed's eczema but certainly didn't make it any worse)

Millie's Mum and someone else who posted... was it Delain? you may want to rephrase your posts to say something like "anyone with a child/boy/girl of age xyrs may find something interesting on the Fairy FB group, if you don't know what the fairy group is, there is a link to join on the first page of the thread" ;) you can never be too careful these days:cool:

Mel - are you aware of the impending change to tesco club card rewards? if you can cash in some points before 5th dec it's probably worth doing so :)

MFD - bizziebaby have been doing the 48hr thing for a while, I missed out on 2 things because of it :( I still replied saying "am I late" type reply just in case tho and was offered an alternative with in a few days of one offer. I ts very annoying tho as both times were the only times in the whole year I'd been away from my emails for more than 12hrs

All the guys I used to know in my days working at a football club wore ones with blades. They were quite new then and said they were the shiznit unless the ground was really really muddy/no grass/no grip.
