    I am NOT impressed!

I ordered a Tesco delivery for today between 11am-1pm and they still haven't turned up, I phoned CS at 1.10pm and they were trying to get hold of the driver for me but there was no answer, so they said they would phone me back....still nothing grrrrrr.......

While I was typing, CS just phoned back to find out if delivery was here yet....which it isn't, apparantly she can't get hold of the driver!!!

Glad to be of service MM  my grandad worked his butt off all his short life so that my nan would have a good pension, but cos of inflation she only gets £5 more than the state pension which puts her too well off for things like grants towards insulation, help with repairs and no help with council tax or anything, so wherever more money can be allocated towards elderly people personally I am very happy for it to happen! Most of them have worked hard, even if they havent had jobs they will have worked hard in the home while their husbands worked hard cos there wasnt an option to do anything else in those days, they didnt have things like washing machines or central heating or hoovers, personally I cannot begrudge them an extra £8 a week.

Does your OH work away then? That would be one of my worst nightmares, as much as my OH pees me off when he's always in I do rely on him heavily just for company, and to just be here when I have a shower and stuff :(

  • Aless - they all go through separation anxiety at some point, it is horrible but they are usually fine whenever you are not there, it is the dropping them off/picking them up where they play up!!

For those of you who still belong to Bizziebaby they appear to have changed their process for allocating items for review.

I had an email off BB Shellie today saying my family has been chosen to review this and if we wanted to go ahead then to email her back within 48 hours. If I didn't email back in 48 hours she would send to someone else.

Now I guess this is good because it prevents us from getting something we don't want, but 48 hours is a tight timescale, especially if you are away or whatever.

Anyway, I thought I would let you know.

I am very excited about testing it - we have got much better things for DSS to test than we have for Benjamin or me!!! :D

They'll eventually ring and say he was broken down somewhere with no signal. That's what our bus company says to people when the driver's decided to skip half the route to make up time, or just gone AWOL. Personally unless the bus I'm on passes the broken one I maintain a healthy skepticism :o:o

Well my blood test results are back and the receptionist at the surgery said there was a note on them for the doctor to call me :o I'll still be anemic then :rotfl::rotfl:

I am pro-anything that improves conditions for the elderly, as far as I am concerned we can only judge any society by the way it treats its vulnerable people. Children, the elderly and the disabled all need to be cared for in a way that doesn't leave them wanting IMO.

Glad Charlie is better, :( for poorly Benjamin and  at AWOL drivers.

Also, it occurred to me that it might be an idea to make a note in the first post of the thread, the one with all the links in, explaining what happens when threads are merged and asking people who've been merged and fallen into a hole of random PT chat to repost in bold and we'll talk to them?

What I don't understand about Sue's post though, is that she seems to be replying to someone....so why hasn't the whole thread been merged?? Also how does the merge happen, because I read to a certain point last night, and picked up where I left off this morning....BUT I never even saw that post, the merges seem to happen in a random order and don't appear where the thread is 'up to'

If any of that makes any sense:o

Hmmmm, it is all very odd....apparatnly he was engaged contantly now he is ringing constantly!! I agree about the buses too, I got a right bollocking from work once for being late, it wasn't my fault, the bus had 'gone missing':rotfl: Needless to say my manager didn't believe me:cool:

Our bus company is used to me ringing up all the time :rotfl:

To be fair I'm not always moaning, and since we got the new company AWOL buses are a rare occurence, and I've been on a fair few that have just conked out and I've had to walk the rest of the way :rotfl:

I actually feel OK, I had figured I was still anemic but my blood count must be interesting to be doctor worthy lol

Does sound like your Tesco driver will be in trouble if they haven't even bothered to lie on his behalf :rotfl:

Mel I think it's merged by time, so most of the posts would have been merged further back from where you read last night so we only saw the last few posts and missed the OP :)

  • MFD I let my bizziebaby membership lapse, I got one good thing but that was it in a year, I waited for another item for well over 6 months, the week before my membership was due to expire they offered me some yoghurts to review, I replied and said my kids don't really eat yoghurts so we were probably not the best family to test them and heard nothing else.

Em He's worked away a lot this year, its not ideal and not what we had planned but there is very little work up here and lots and lots at heathrow so needs must! Its usually fine cos he is goes Sunday teatime til Friday night but this last one he went on the 9th October and should be back this weekend its felt like a long time. I've had to rope my neighbour into sitting in while I go get Millie from Brownies and her daughter has been babysitting while I go to zumba things like that are difficult.

Mel Hope tesco have turned up now, I've never had trouble with Tesco being late its usually asda who are late round here, which is mad cos asda are 5 mins away and tesco are miles away. Hope they give you something good to apologise.
