Hello lovelies, it is nice to know you are not all out building walls in this cold weather

I've just fed Molly an entire jar of baby food after she's barely eaten anything all the last week, once she was done and settled with her sippy cup (full of milk instead of water, we're down again to 3-4x feeds a day: early morning, late afternoon, before bed and 11pm when I go to bed if she needs it) I went off to get myself some nommy bean soup - the little horror is standing beside me agitating for all the best bits!!
MFD do you need to vent?
Also, it occurred to me that it might be an idea to make a note in the first post of the thread, the one with all the links in, explaining what happens when threads are merged and asking people who've been merged and fallen into a hole of random PT chat to repost in bold and we'll talk to them?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Everything came... but its !!!!!! quality!!! I think I need some help ladies (and Bruno!) if nobody minds, that is

I'll probably post this on the ebay board as well, as thats where I bought it from, but I know (most of) you are more articulate than I am and better at arguing a point too!
I ordered this on ebay on 20/09/10, along with a matching footstool and a armchair. He said it would arrive on 05/10/10 but nothing turned up and I'd taken the morning off work to wait in for it as well! The sofa came 7/10/10 but nothing else. 14/10/10 I asked for a refund for the amount of the chair and footstool as he had said it would be two weeks until the chair and footstool would be manufactured, and I was worried ebay wouldnt cover me at that point in time if it didnt turn up. He said he had in stock a slightly different colour but still beige and slightly different fabric but still chenille, so what he would do would be to swap the sofa we already had for a new sofa in the slightly different material. I agreed thinking there would be no harm in getting a new sofa again
Today the exchange happened, but I am not impressed at all - the new colour is quite dingy compared to the old colour which was a much warmer beige, and ALL of the cushions are defective except one! One cushion supplied didnt even match, it was the old material so got sent back with him, and he promised to send back two in its place as a goodwill gesture for my incovenience (wow, a whole cushion, I feel honoured...) One of them the seam holding the zip on isnt finished and theres a 3cm gap, one it looks like its been stitched and then had the stitching pulled and started again cos theres loads of tiny holes in a big line, the fabric by the zip is frayed on one corner, one of them has a pull in the fabric and the others all have threads hanging through the seams so just havent been finished properly. Even the two sofae seat cushions are faulty, with threads hanging through the seams!
Now, I cant really complain about the colour, as if I'd never had the first one I'd never have known there was a difference. Where there are threads hanging through the seams I can probably very carefully snip them away. What I want is the defective cushions swapped and ideally a part refund as a gesture of goodwill for all the stress and messing around and waiting in for deliveries. How do I ask for this? Thankyou for reading my very boring rant!Mummy to

GRAAAARGHHHHHHHH there is a local guy whose FB is constantly filled with stupidity and who I normally ignore. He posted this morning about a horrible feeling of doom he had, to which I responded, Often that is associated with a B12 deficiency and with the change in eating habits we've all made the last week or so from lovely salads to lovely soups and heavy things, you might be a bit deficient in it. Superdose yourself and you'll feel better. He's just replied to tell me that actually he is not deficient, he's a psychic and something bad is going to happen to someone he knows. Given that he has almost 1000 FB friends I am happy with the odds, but you'd think that when two of our mutual friends (real life friends) lost their fathers in the last month he'd have noticed that happening, surely?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Poor Benjamin, hope he feels a bit better when he wakes up.
How annoying Emlou, hope someone fabulous with words comes along soon, do you have a phone number for him? I'd be tempted to ring him up and talk to him about it.
That has reminded me though, Caz have you composed a complaint about the hospital yet?
Does anyone have a 5-6 yr old girl? We've just had a major tidy of Millies room and now have a pile of things to give to a good home.MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -

I'm here! DH has come home early with some sort of tummy bug, so clearly there's something going around. Was just hanging nappies out in the brrrrrr cold and thinking of dashing to Sainsbury's (baby-free! bliss!) on the pretence of getting DH some Lucozade/similar but really getting some sort of treaties for me :rotfl:.
Oh I forgot to say that Finn for the first time cried hard when we had left him with someone. He was in creche at church and started just sobbing at the end. I'm hoping he was just hungry or something and it's not the beginning of a period of separation anxiety right as I'm gearing up to go back to work! We'll see how he is at CM's on Wednesday.
Hope Benjamin (and MFD!) feel better.

hello!!
i slept in this morning after being up and down all night, i couldnt get into a proper sleep as i had everything running through my head and then started to feel guilty at taking Charlie home. He is fine today and the bump has shrunk a lot thank goodness! he is running around naked and refuses to put any clothes on today.
I had to get up dressed and leave for the app, it went ok but i had to go over a lot from my past which i would have rather left there so its left me a little
its all stuff i would have rather not talked about but he wouldnt let me leave it? Counselling session was cut short due to the app with doctor as he took 1.5 hours instead of the half hour booked.
I am going riding this afternoon so hopefully can clear my head a little and take my mind off it all and complain about sore legs and bums instead
Tia i like hearing about your loft conversion! what colour are you going for?
MFD hope your ok and B feels better soon
Em hope you get a good letter sorted and fish and chips sounds good!
MM i havent started a letter yet as i thought i needed to calm down first, would love some help as your all fab at writing letters!!!

I'm a bit the same way but was thinking how if you could ring and be all reasonable with him it might encourage him to respond the same way, plus it would be resolved much quicker.
btw loved your comment on FB earlier you articulated brilliantly what i was thinking!
I'm fine, just getting a bit fed up of only having the kids to talk to (OH has been at heathrow for 3wks without coming home at all) think I'm about to start running round screaming like they do!
I just had bovril on toast out of desparation, we have nothing in and I've spent all my money on Xmas gifts so am trying to avoid shops!MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740
