I've never made chutney before, but I'm going to use this one for doing onion marmalade: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/6069617#Comment_6069617

P.P.S. How can I get a spot of red wine out of cream couch? :o It's 2 days old...

  • Did anyone do the Lloyds pharmacy glitch? Mine arrived today its really lovely, the £3 slipper set is now apparently sold out but I got lots of lovely stocking fillers for Millie and a couple of boys toys for my 5yr old nephew. Its well worth a look on that site if you have older kids

Just wonder what they are gonna buy now, why do peopla not take into consideration you do not have the space for certain stuff.

I don't know but if I were you I'd make that point to them now, my monster in law bought Millie a kitchen for her 3rd christmas, without telling us beforehand and said as she was opening it 'I don't know where you are going to keep it!'

Ex Mil bought my twins a dolls pram each, ad told me I 'wasn't allowed' to keep them outside. Consequently they now live rammed in a corner folded up. When she said she was buying them I said 'fine but keep them at your house, there's no room here' and she just ignored me, said it would be 'a shame for them to only use it once a week' what does she think I'm going to do, take them on the school run and carry them home myself?!

Oooh just had a call to say my sofa is about half an hour away, can we all cross our fingers that the chair and footstool are with it please! Cos that will mean the whole sorry saga is over after 6 weeks of getting messed around!! And that ve colour is ok cos apparently its "slightly" different to the one we've got which is why they're swapping it for a new one!

My mum did the same Delain, she got Aimee a silvercross coach built dolls pram that takes up a stupid amount of space... It's also vintage and she bought it as a "fixer upper" then decided it would be too much money to get it done so gave it to us and said "you can ask people to contribute for her birthdays and christmas" As a result it's now taking up 50% of my shed and has been played with about half a dozen times... And has not been fixed up!

    Still no water!

Eek at the no water Krystal! Can you sell the pram on ebay if its not going to be used.

MM - everyone who is likely to be spending enough money to buy something big knows how we constantly moan about lack of space, and I joke if they continue to buy T random gifts at the rate there going I will be asking them to chip in for an extension! ILs spare room has been taken over as a storage space for everything T has grown out of or have bought/ been given thats too old for her. In fact we are going to take her bouncer, play gym and sit me up cozy there today to make room for new stuff. But its so sad to be putting baby stuff away already.

I CBA today, its official my get up and go has left the building. And T has already woken from her nap which means only a quick dunk in the shower when i was going to wash my hair.

I wish!! She bought it as an heirloom type thing... Means it's going to be taking up half my shed for years to come... She'd hit the roof if I sold it!

Some very sad news on the pregnancy thread :(
