Thanks for the offer Som, it's really kind, but I think I've left it a bit late to be relying on the post :o (I'm a size 14) I'm going to try batgirl I think and can just say I'm a female batman ;) Fingers crossed I can get what I need at the mall after baby massage.

Didn't have the best night last night, I think the events of the day must have caught up with the little man so I'm shattered now.

Becles glad you've found Teddy. Do you think this might stop Charlotte hiding him?

Som I was like that last night too, kept waking up and didn't sleep well at all, even though I thought I's sleep like a log I was so tired. I'm really achey this morning but need to entertain the baby whilst putting my kitchen back together and then I have an order of cupcakes to do which need delivering at 7pm. I'll definitely sleep well tonight! Worth it though as my kitchen does look lovely now.

Hi Glam, totally missed you now but I don;t knwo how you (and others) do it with babies not sleeping through the night. I take my hat off to you as it must be so tiring.

Sorry to break it to you r.mac but Sue's post is from a thread that was merged with us :o

    :(

changing mats. We have a lovely one from Boots that was about £5. They were cheaper and nicer IMHO than the fancy ones in TK Maxx. We also have a cot top changer from JL, which came with a changing mat - a godsend when I ended up with a c-section. Before hand I thought they were silly, superfluous items that people wasted money buying. I'm so glad my SIL bought us one now (I seem to remember moaning about it to my mum at the time :rotfl: ).

Well, one of those mornings here. I have a moaning child, who woke at 6.30pm. Shes got grumpier and grupmier. Thankfully we are off to toddler this morning :D

It's that time of the month and unusually its really effecting me this month. I'm tired, a bit grouchy and achey all over. Hopefully coffee and playdoh will help :D:T

morning all. I'm part of a FB secret santa and got my allocation yesterday, so off to put some thought into that. Hugs and waves to you all.

    Hello all :hello:

Yay for sleepy Caitlyn :T Squeak got woken up by mine and OH's alarms this morning (I forgot to turn mine off for half term!) but I put her in bed with us, when OH got up at 7 she stayed in bed with me and slept until 8 :j

OH went on ebay and got an upright freezer, so that things are easier to get to for me (my left arm is still really sensitive to cold!) and then we got a fridge freezer from the same guy because the freezer part of mine fell to bits :rotfl:

So if anyone in the Bournemouth area wants a chest freezer it's up for grabs, absolutely free. It's not pretty and its at least 20 years old but it'll most likely do another 20!

Now I've just got to tidy up so the ones I've got can come out... and there's a load of 'homeless' stuff on top of the fridge freezer... maybe I should do it instead of posting :rotfl:

Som - we have an Aldi across the road and I've never seen changing mats in there...so I'm not sure I would make a special trip if it's only a small one.

Neighbours are letting me use their dongle for the day, so I have internet - but is incredibly slow and crap connection. Hopefully box comes tomorrow.

ILs came down for a visit and brought Finn's birthday presents as they wanted to give them early so they wouldn't be giving on Christmas Day (like he cares? but whatever). Very generous, but I am slightly annoyed when we have said a) please nothing big/bulky; b) not a lot of loud, noisy, plasticy toys. So what do they get him? A noisy, plastic Vtech rocker (big!) and a noisy, plastic other Vtech toy. 1 noisy, plastic thing is fine, but 2? Really? Yes, I'm being an unappreciative grumpy Victorian mum here.

I would be hoping my jam jars from Lakeland come today so I can do some chutney-making, except DH didn't give me my bank card back so I can't go to Sainsbury's for ingredients. Ho-hum, shaping up to be a very boring day indeed!

ohhhhhhhhhhh queen chutney maker - any good ideas/recipes for a caramelised onion marmalade.... i appear to have eaten most of mine that came from cherry tree preserves as it was fantastic!!!

im almost a little sad that i know whose buying my FB secret santa.... but she's uber lovely so i dont mind :D

change mats...... we've got the £5 one from boots, blue with spots, think there is a pink and a green one.nicely padded, waterproof wipe clean covering, good size and light to shift around the house, oh and stands up on itself if leant against a wall....:T

Caz - hope LO is ok today
Gill - Glad christening was fab,im sure people will have loads of photos to send to you...

L is conked on the bed this morning.... see how long that lasts :rotfl:he went from 6:30pm to 6am waking once at 4 but i think that was because it was cold so i went down and flicked on the heating and he and i went back to sleep. DH didnt feed him till half 7, and he had the full 210mls..normally in am's he takes about 120,so hes obviously not fully hungry at that time...
I dont know if we should be or what, but he literally has a top up after bath of maybe 90mls at 6ish and then thats it till morning, no 10pm feed or night wakings.....:o all the books for weaning etc and website advice always mentions a 10pm feed....

Aless - sounds like you have lovely neighbours. Shame about the toys, but hopefully Finn will like them. SIL asked us if we would like a vtech walker for T for Xmas but MIL has already got her a lovely wooden wagon so no point in having 2! Just wonder what they are gonna buy now, why do peopla not take into consideration you do not have the space for certain stuff.

Kian has 2 walkers here- the vtech walker and a wooden fire engine that he can put things in (and when he is too big, it will another toy box) he has a ride along/push thomas at PIL and there is a ride-along/push cars one for xmas as well as a truck with bricks. i wanted the bricks more than the truck but it will all get used.

Old fashioned toys are lovely but i've never seen a LO turn down a big plastic noisy light up toy in favour of something wooden! We bought S the wooden ikea toys, wooden lift out puzzles and a big bag of wooden stacking blocks, he'd rather play with megablocks, his bounce and spin zebra and his musical electronic drum. I'd have loved to play with some of the things kids have now back when I was little. I hate noisy toys but S loves them so I put up with them, they are his toys after all :)

Any ideas why my boy has 3 teenage spots on his cheek?? I am not impressed with them for invading my beautiful baby boys skin!
