Back to work tomorrow. On a flipping Bank Holiday! Phones won't ring, there will be no deliveries or collections, so what's the point? I suppose i'll just have to psyche myself and declutter my desk area and do some filing.

I took Joe to watch Harry Potter today, was sick of waiting for OH to feel like going. I swear his backside is stuck to the couch. So we went and left him in charge of Alex. It was excellent. Can't wait for the last one.

Alex is well and truly walking/ toddling around. It's so cute! And now when you tell him it's bedtime he walks to the baby gate, when you open it he climbs the stairs to bed :D I just wish he would stay asleep instead of waking 2/3 times a night, crying then doing laps of his cotbed and laughing at me :(

Glad that you are feeling better GISI. This winters round of flu/ viruses
have been truly awful and I don't know anyone who hasn't been struck down. Hope everyone else is getting better too.

  • Hello everyone :D

I hope you are all well and had a lovely Christmas and New Year!!

I for one am looking forward to getting back into some kind of routine, we went away for NY and Benjamin was in bed at midnight on Thurs, 2am on Fri and 11pm last night!!!

He has been an angel but he tried to run into the sea today which was very naughty!

He is a bit unsettled tonight though, poor thing, he is so used to his routine and his 7pm bedtimes all this fun and partying has taken it's toll.

  • Wow MFD. 2am and 11pm bedtimes would take their toll on me, let alone a little one! Please don't read that as me having a go, I'm just amused that he stayed up to see in the new year and I gave up and went to bed at 10pm!

I can't believe Benjamin stayed up that late. We said Charlotte could stay up on NYE, but by 8.15pm she was being grotty, so she went to bed :o

Just remembered - the boys were watching Mr Bean and it was the episode where he paints his flat. The bristles fell off the paintbrush, so he stuck the brush handle in his teddy and dipped the teddy in the paint and used it to paint the wall.

Charlotte was horrified and was almost in tears watching it. It was kind of sad and funny at the same time watching her. Must have been like a horror movie for her, as she loves her teddy so much.
Here I go again on my own....
  • We were out on all 3 nights!! There were 37 of us staying together on a campsite in Wales so he had lots of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins to keep him occupied :D

He also slept in with DSS for the first time, although DSS stayed up for 10 extra minutes to let Benjamin nod off before he went to bed. He woke at 9.10am on Fri, 9.30am on Sat and 9.45 this morning. And he has had some massive naps too.

We very rarely keep him up so I was amazed that he managed it - he is just too nosy to go down in his buggy!

Hi all and happy new year!
have I missed lots of bargains?
I've had a bit of time off from MSE this summer as my LO is obsessed with the computer and can't keep his hands off it, so if he's around its just not worth the hassle.

I put LO to bed the usual time on NYE he is a stinker when tired, couldn't take that risk during our night of TV overload!!

I'm usually the thread killer :rotfl:

Decluttering ground to a halt. OH has put wheeler dealers on then gone to sleep. They have taken a 1980's VW camper and made it wacky

That was the only pic I could find :rotfl:
