Ooo, I'm generally opposed to resolutions - mostly because I think they're rubbish and people forget all about them after February, BUTBUT...you may have noticed my signature changed a week or so ago...

So we're now on a proper long term debt-free mission, with detailed spreadsheet budgeting and the full works. I have monthly direct debits set up to a wholly separate savings account for things like Christmas birthday pots/yearly car tax/yearly clothing pot, etc (part of our savings problem was it being linked to the current account and instant accessible...far too tempting!). DH is on board and even though we have very little spare cash to actually snowball into our debts, we are going to do our best to eek out every penny. Everything is being scaled back and budgeting is going to become very strict - but realistically it's the only we can afford everything AND hope to one day pay off everything. The biggest resolve is that earned cash like Quidco is going into DEBT REPAYMENT not extra treats for us :p.

So my resolution is going to be to stick to budget. It's going to be hard, especially staying off of eBay, but I just have to remind myself why we're doing it.

And I will probably pester weezl loads in the next few years, since she's very knowledgeable about living low budget. :D

hello everyone hope you all had a good christmas x

Ours was not too bad considering, bit of a quiet one but I think it was due. DD was struck by the sickness bug on christmas eve but luckily seemed to be just a 24 hour thing and she managed to sleep it off and just not eat too much on the day.

I've been back to the hospital and have different antibiotics this time but only had to stay in one night and hopefully its all gonna be over soon and I'll be back to full health. Struggling to take it easy at home though and I really need to so I can get better quicker.

My plan was to lose weight in the new year too, with all the days being nil by mouth I've not put anything on this pregnancy now and am back in my pre pregnancy clothes just need to tone up my tum a bit. Still would like to lose some weight but I don't think I'll stress it too much, maybe a stone by summer would be good. Plan is just once I'm healthy to get some exercise, walking baby, wiifit and hopefully swimming eventually.

OH has just got home and has negotiated new hours at work so he'll be working nights now and starts at 3 or 4pm depending on the day and should be home about 3 in the morning ish and be able to help out a bit during the day, esp on a monday. We'll see how it goes anyway. He had been going to work at 3-4am and not getting home till 8pm and it was just too much, mind you he was home early today but its so rare.

It has been inches rather than weight on the scales. Overall, I've stayed roughly the same weight, but I know I'm smaller as I'm fitting into smaller clothes. I feel much stronger too.

I've not been for a month - combination of the bad weather and hubby doing long hours at work. Looking forward to getting back into it on Tuesday.

All the resolutions sound like good ones. We should have an update once a week or month or something to see how everyone is getting on and to encourage each other
Here I go again on my own....
