I am terrible for not accounting for things like uniforms and then every year have to pull out a miracle to afford it all before they go back!
Even christmas I never have a penny saved for it, and then after ds1's birthday 16 Nov I suddenly realise it is only 6wks till christmas....It never really seemed too bad when there was only two of them...but now I am having to sort out for 4 kids, it was a little bit stressful. I managed it this year as T is so little we barely bought her anything (but were given about 3 things from my friend that I wrapped up for her) But next year she will be 18mths and I will want to get her more.

Well my big thing for the New Year is not to spend any money because we're saving up big time for our dream new house:D
As soon as it's the new year we're going to find somewhere bigger to rent, put our house on the market and then we're going to add as much as we can to the money we make from our house for a year or 2 to purchase the house we want to make home for lots and lots of years!
I'm going to really struggle with not buying all those bargains that are posted on Grabbit... especially stuff for little Madam:(
Anyone got any plans for tomorrow night??? I'm having friends round for party food and drinkies:)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Awww:)
We don't really do anything either but haven't seen my friends over xmas so invited them round. They'll probably be gone by 10pm at the latest so I will more than likely be in bed by midnight!!:rotfl:BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Last year we went to MIL for new year and I thought I'd let the kids stay up, at 10pm DD was asking if she could go to bed bless her. I might be up at midnight if the baby needs a feed then but I doubt it and sleep is precious. So many other much better parties to go to this year, nearly everyone I know is turning 30 at some stage this year or getting married, gonna be an expensive year.0

Hope you're feeling better Merfe
Aless and CAFC, there's a Money Making thread on the special occasions board where they're getting together to make Christmas and birthdays money-neutral. If you're crafty you could set up a Folksy store or make throughout the year and go to a craft fair at the end to sell things, or ebay everything that isn't nailed down etcOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
