Caz, does Charlie calm down around Jimmy?
yes he does and he knows he has too be quiet around the bigger horses! however when we get around the corner there are chickens and he takes great delight in squeeling and chasing them around the yard!

We have been laughing at Charlie today as when we ask him what santa brought all he can tell us about is the orange, apple and chocolate in his stocking! :rotfl:

I also have stayed away from the sales i need to tax and insure my car so not got a lot of money left after that :( i also have the boys birthdays in Jan and Erin in Feb!

Is anyone making any resolutions for the new year? I've decided that in 2011 I:

    -will learn to knit
-will continue not to buy any more toiletries until I've run out of the old one (now I've pillaged the Lush sale, but it's not 2011 yet so it doesn't count)
    -will complete my course
-will get rid of at least a bag of stuff from the flat every day
-will use my sewing machine at least once a month

Will stop spending money on stuff I don't actually need, This includes pretty dresses for Miss A. (so I have ordered stuff from Next coz its not 2011 yet)
Will get £1000 in savings above the normal savings for holidays and Christmas.
Will pass my HNC with a B in my graded unit.
Will shoot my neighbours with a depo dartgun since they are at it again.
  • Jealous of your sales shopping SS. I am staying away from real life and virtual shops as there is nothing I need and I really need to cut my spending. But i am so bored. I've actually been able to get Alex out for a walk in the buggy, along with the dog, as rain has finally washed away most of the snow and ice.

Hope all sickie people get some rest and recover very soon. So glad my bouts of illness were earlier in the month.

i got to the next sale and was most upset that everything was for ams, nothing for me  went into town again today and again NOTHING

i feel like we've been stuck in forever, any kind of fresh air is much appreciated :D
  • new years resolutions -

lose a few pounds, the cheap way, got a stepper at home, and may get a skipping rope (how childish haha!)
eat better - we have had so much crap this christmas and still getting take aways, cant be bothered cooking!!
meet some new people and get Ams out and about more!
SAVE SAVE SAVE - OH has recently been made redundant, fingers crossed new job around the corner, but still we shouldnt be spending what we doing on rubbish!!
i want to learn something new, but no idea what yet!!

    :)
  • My resolutions
    - get a new job
    - exercise more (I've just started with this, so not really new, just a keep it up - doing wii fit whenever I can manage to, and go for a walk at lunchtime when I can - realistically it won't be every day i'm working, because sometimes I have to go run errands instead)
    - eat less crap (but I say that every year!)
    - get myself a social life. DH goes out at least once a week and leaves us at home. I have been out on my own once since Izzy has been born. Part of the problem is that I don't have anyone local to socialise with except "his" friends (who are my friends too really!), and my Mum friends, so I think maybe a mums night out is on the cards if anyone other than me is up for it ;) And also we need to have more of a social life as a couple - we can get away with one or two nights a month of babysitting but that has lapsed recently. Must get back into that habit. And we have stopped inviting people to our house, which would be the better way of doing things. I have no topics of conversation other than Izzy or work, and although she is important, I need to have time to be a grown up and not just Izzy's mum :)

Sorry, that has turned into a bit of an essay. How is everyone?!

I had a surprisingly busy day at work today. Not busy exactly - we got 27 calls all day with 3 of us working (it's quite normal for us to be taking 40 calls eacch in a day!), but had lots of other things to be getting on with and didn't actually finish it all. I'm glad I'm not in all week though - no way I could have dragged it out to keep myself busy all week!

Sorry to hear OH has been made redundant Natalie, is the wedding still set for next year?

OH is back in work tomorrow, thank god! And Joe is off to a panto with my brother and his girls in the afternoon. So Alex and I will have to get out, as I am crawling the walls. OHs birthday on 10 Jan, so may go in search of a bargain present, except have no idea what to get.

As for resolutions, no idea apart from spend less. I'm a bit bah humbug about New Year. I don't like New Years Eve and all the phoney kissey, kissey happy new year stuff. Rather be a sleep, except you get woke up by the stupid firworks. And yes I am turning in to a grumpy old git. :p

    Not thought about resolutions yet.

Bought some plates and bowls in the Tesco sale. We really need everyday crockery as most things are chipped and we only have three dinner plates left now :o

Not bought anything else though. Saw that Zumba for the Wii is out in Feb, so I'm saving my Christmas money to buy that.

Charlotte spent her Christmas money on more Barbie stuff, so I had to help keep changing her outfit this afternoon as she kept going to different parties and then she went shopping in Marks and Spencer, before doing some work on her laptop.

She said her teddy got a job in a big Tesco just off the motorway. He's in charge of yoghurt and chocolate and has to borrow Barbie's car to drive to work.

I've no idea what goes on in her head some days :D
Here I go again on my own....
  • No plan for New Year, DH is working.

I've given up resolutions as I never stick to them.

Katie and I visited my brother yesterday as we were both climbing the walls after being home for 3 days, her eyes are much better though. Katie impressed my brother with her reaction to the bottle of eye drops being produced, lay down on the floor quiet as a lamb whilst they were administered. He was also impressed by her helping set and clear the table.

I've visited M&S today, couldn't find anything I liked in the sales apart from a pair of boots for Katie, the rest of the things I bought weren't in the sales - they were a need though as they're for work.

I resisted these and bought these instead.
Proud to be dealing with my debts
