Just tried the email address and it came back as not recognised. just rang head office, they don't want to take the complaint on as I have originally complained to the store, - got a letter of apology - thats not going to give me faith back into the store, so I have to go through the store manager and see what he says / does before head office will loook at it.

Yes I'm sure theres people who feel I', making a mountain out of a molehill, but if the experience i had happened to you - then I'm sure you would understand why x

The proper email address you need is terry.leahy@uk.tesco.com

I was under the impression they were allowed to check your shopping bags before you left the store.

    Er no!

They have absolutely no rights unless they have actually seen you take something without paying.

Touching, stopping or interfearing if the have no evidence is an assault and you can and should defend yourself! If I was physically stopped I can assure you that I would free myself using force!

If anyone believes this is actually his proper email address they are severely misguided and no doubt it would get forwarded on to a relevant department.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

I had a problem with a CS advisor over a DTD, I used the email and I got a £20 gift card for my hassle ;)

I refused to go with the security guard, I will hold my hands up to that, it was to do with his attitude and how he conducted himself, I felt unsafe and was not going to put myself into a situaution that I was going to be uncomfortable with. I asked for a manager as I wanted a witness, wouldn't of bothered me if it was a female or male manager, even with a manager there i would of stuck to my guns, I was correct, it was the cashier who was at fault regarding the tag not being removed, but the attitude of the security guard was an issue.

Unsafe? Honestly? What did you think he would do?

No prob, it was the way that the trolley was pounced on and the security guards attitude, did not trust him after the approach.

But "unsafe"? As in you feared for your safety? Did you think he would assault you?

    Xmas Saver!
I felt unsafe, uncomfortable, and the manner in which he approached, grabbing the trolley and rude with his tone of voice, not to the extent that he would assault me, but I wanted someone else with me for my safety, as I did not trust him, it was imtidating.

Shows how much you know, a home shopper can pick for 6 customers at the same time

Ah that might explain why they once sent me Martini rather than bananas!

Does anyone actually drink that anymore? The bottle went to a charity tombola in the end.

Still not getting it, sorry :o

If you didn;t think he was going to assault you, or kidnap you, I don;t see why you would feel unsafe. I do think, on the whole, you've overreacted.

How you come to that conclusion is way beyond my comprehension. Staff are trained, or should be, on how to treat customers. Customers do not need training.

Believe me, as a staff member that does online picking - Some customers do need training. I may be staff but i am not invisible, I am not there for you to batter with your trolley, I am not there to take your verbal abuse and no I did not take the decision to change where items are placed instore. :)
