    He's the CEO.

Just tried the email address and it came back as not recognised. just rang head office, they don't want to take the complaint on as I have originally complained to the store, - got a letter of apology - thats not going to give me faith back into the store, so I have to go through the store manager and see what he says / does before head office will loook at it.

Yes I'm sure theres people who feel I', making a mountain out of a molehill, but if the experience i had happened to you - then I'm sure you would understand why x

I refused to go with the security guard, I will hold my hands up to that, it was to do with his attitude and how he conducted himself, I felt unsafe and was not going to put myself into a situaution that I was going to be uncomfortable with. I asked for a manager as I wanted a witness, wouldn't of bothered me if it was a female or male manager, even with a manager there i would of stuck to my guns, I was correct, it was the cashier who was at fault regarding the tag not being removed, but the attitude of the security guard was an issue.

Just out of interest why did you feel unsafe? In a busy supermarket which probably has more cameras then the ITV studios.

No prob, it was the way that the trolley was pounced on and the security guards attitude, did not trust him after the approach.

I can understand why you may have felt threatened by the security guard but I would have been more annoyed by the cashier for not doing his job right in the first place - maybe if you'd gone with the security guard but still asked to speak to the manager, you wouldn't have felt so intimidated?

By refusing to go (for whatever reason) you immediately, in his eyes, must have looked guilty of something so he had to do his job and search your shopping bags.

He sounds like he was a little heavy handed but maybe he wouldn't have been if you'd gone with him?

What do you think it will take to restore your faith in this store?

Fair enough but he was only doing his job and he wasnt to know how you would react and if he may have a chase on his hands. You would be surprised the amount of video i have seen of people using disability to steal from shops and kicking up a fuss when they get stopped..

Not that im accusing you of this but you need to see it maybe from his side a little too when you didnt want to go somewhere quieter.

Just because the alarm goes off doesn't make the OP a theif. If the security guard thinks everyone who sets the alarm off is a theif then he needs retraining.

He also has the right to look through every bag if the alarm has gone off too.

doesn't have the right - if he wants to check the bag and the OP said no then they would have to call the police and wait for them to come check the bag

What do you hope will be the outcome? What will make you feel better? If a letter of apology doesn't suffice, what do you want?

I was under the impression they were allowed to check your shopping bags before you left the store.
